Over 3 years of continuous trouble free use.
This little dimmer functions perfectly and has done so continuously for over three years.I used it on 12v puck lights, four pendants with 12v Edison bulbs, and now on a COB LED strip. All had full dimming with no flicker or cutting out. Full dimming as in it goes down to roughly 25%. In my case 25% is dim enough. The feature I appreciate the most is being able to set it to a dim level I like and have it stay at the level each time I turn the lights on, until I change it. Turning on and off and dimming is as easy as touching or touching and holding. There is constant a tiny pin hole white LED. It's so small and dim I don't notice it unless the room is totally blacked out. This very faint LED allows me to locate the dimmer without feeling around for it. It's perfect!Wiring is as easy as matching colors. While this is not offered in cream or white, black goes with everything. The only tiny issue one might have is it does have the word "DIMMER" on it. I suppose one might be able to strip this off with some sort of paint removing solvent if they really wanted to. Just be sure to separate the top plant from the base and internal components first. Be mindful any alterations would void the warranty and make it ineligible for return. All in.... a great dimmer for the price.Others have noted this dimmer would not work with their central smart control system. I would image this is due to how it's wired and/or interference with the signal to a central control system. In which case you'll need to contact the manufacturer of your central control system for specifications on which types of dimmers, if any, would work. I imagine smart central control systems have been designed for future updates. Future updates or optional paid/subscription based update packages could include dimming features with no physical alterations. These same smart control systems are used on higher end RVs with additional features disabled on lower end RVs. Ask your dealership if your smart control system can be upgraded via a system update. Granted some smart control systems on low and mid-level RVs may require additional wiring to take advantage of expanded preinstalled functions/features not available on your RV. It's common for certain features on the same control system to be exclusive to higher end RVs. The same is true in the automotive world as a cost saving method during production.Cheers!

Good LED Dimmer
This dimmer worked great for us. We purchased two and installed them:1) main living area lights ( controls 7 led lights ) that I fished wires to a new wall location.2) bedroom area ( controls 2 led lights ) where I replaced an existing switch and had to “print” a blank wall plate to cover the existing larger hole.In both cases the full on intensity of the LED fixtures were to bright, most of the time.A quick tap turns your lights on or off, and HOLDING your finger on the switch starts a cycle of dimming or brightening. Simply remove your finger when the intensity is at your preferred level. The indicator light in the switch is very dim which means you can mount this in a bedroom or other sleeping area without introducing more ambient light. It’s just enough to get you to the switch. In the case of our living room light switch, we wanted to relocate the existing control since it was behind a cabinet door. Fishing the supply and load wires to the new spot was not difficult in our case but could be for others based on specific situation and existing wiring. With a new small hole I was able to make the connections and mount the switch. The directions show either 3 ( common ground between load and supply) or 4 wire ( separate supply and load wires ) I installed both with 4 wires. The bedroom replaced a factory switch that covered a hole larger than the dimmer body. I printed a blank cover plate out of ABS 4mm thick to cover the hole and mounted the switch to this. I believe you should be able to find an acceptableblank to use in these cases, as the dimmer itself is not very large.*YET TO TEST : LED dimmers sometimes have trouble maintaining steady brightness when other 12volt accessories affect the voltage.I’ll be testing with our 12v fridge and water pump in the coming days. If it works well, I’ll increase my rating to 5stars.

I like these a lot
In our RV when turning on a light switch it is almost as bright as a spotlight. I installed these in our living room and bedroom and what a difference, we are no longer "Blinded by the Light" 😂. Pretty easy straight forward install. Only issue as other have stated is that they are slightly smaller than the original switches so mounting securely them is a bit of a pain. Rec Pro needs to redesign them to make them a little bigger so the fit in the existing cutouts.

Will not work if you have a Bluetooth control panel (e.g., Lippert Compass Connect)
The dimmer switch is well made and would normally be easy to install. However, after many attempts to wire the switch I discovered on a YouTube video that you cannot install the dimmer, using the provided installation instructions, if your RV uses a Bluetooth control panel to control your lights remotely with an app. The merchant should research this further and note this issue on their product description so customers do not spend hours trying to get the dimmer to work on these newer RVs.

Great replacement rv light switch
This switch works well, although a bit insensitive at times.. solution: wipe finger tip on a cloth or wash or dampen finger tip first..Note: both black wires CAN be connected together. The switch is evidently a metric size.. As others have noted; just a tad smaller than own switches in the US.. Very careful positioning is necessary to get both screws to bite..Perhaps for the next switch, I'll try to drill some holes a bit farther towards the outside at opposite corners, pre -drill the backing (1/64" or 1/32??) and maybe it's possible to catch the backing better..Also, because this touch switch requires both +&-, & the oem harnesses only Have the 12v+ wiring readily available, I had to do some searching for a 12v-.(which is sometimes up tho 6 or more feet away at the lighting fixture..
