Q: I have a 52v battery (58v when fully charged). Will this unit be able to handle that many volts?

If you are asking about the 48 volt version of the Drive Conversion Kit, your battery is a good fit because the Battery voltage is close to the Controller and Motor voltage ratings. If you are referring to the 24 or 36 volt version of the kit, I think your battery voltage is too high and could damage the capacitors or other components in the controller. If the controller does hold up, the motor may run at the higher voltage as long as it is not overheated for too long, such as on a hill. Try to match Battery and Equipment voltage as closely as possible.

The battery will definitely power this kit. The battery comes with a "T-type" power plug. The controller in the kit has a receiver for a similar type of plug. In the worst case you would need to use the provided battery quick connector on this battery.

Is it blowing shortly after taking off? Are you pedaling as well when you take off? I have the 36v one and it doesn't seem to have a fuse. Is it on the controller? Blowing a 25a fuse indicates it's trying to pull around 625 watts from the battery. This could happen if the force required at take-off is high. My 36v kit would struggle with my 200+ lbs body if I didn't help by pedaling on take-off.

If it is a disc brake bike then probably, but with a rim brake there should be no issues with the motor getting in the way
