Weck 745 Tulip Jars (Weck 745 // Wooden Lid)

I'm happy with the Weck Sourdough Starter Jar. It's wide enough to easily discard sourdough and feed sourdough. The jar seals well and it looks nice.

I have a small Weck jar I bought years ago. At first I thought it was fussy with the separate latch springs but it is versatile, quality and looks nice. I use it often. I was looking for a nice glass jar for sourdough starter as a gift and chose this. I got one to give and one to keep. I'm happy with the purchase.

This is the 4th jar I have purchased to store my starter. I bought one for my boyfriend’s house to store my starter when I visit him. It’s easy to clean and to refresh the starter. I’m very happy with the product. Definitely would recommend this jar for easy of use, size and storage capacity.

I love the look and quality of the Weck Tulip Jar-it's sturdy, elegant and perfect for my sourdough starter storage. However, I'm not a big fan of the metal clips and the rubber gasket. The clips can be a bit tricky to handle, and the gasket doesn't always sit perfectly in place, which can make sealing a little frustrating. Still, its a beautiful and functional jar once you get the hang of it!

This works perfectly for storing and feeding the small amount of Sourdough starter that I make. The slope of the base ensures no flour gets stuck in the bottom when I mix the starter, flour and water in it.
