The fountain was easy to set up and the sound is very pleasant. The noise is not overwhelming at all. The fountain is lovely and all of my friends like it. Even though there are several minor issues, I think the that value of the fountain far outweighs the inconveniences and therefore I give it a full five stars. If this fountain had far more expensive I would have been disappointed with the minor shortcomings.Several minor issues: 1) the water only comes out of the top right side of the fountain, so I have to put the fountain at a slight lean in order to get the water to flow down the entire slate front. 2) the pump has a very short connector so that if you want to change the flow rate you must detach the pump from the fountain. I got around this by purchasing longer tubing at OSH. 3) You can not turn the light off without turning off the fountain as well. 4) There is no on/off switch, you mush unplug it; 5) You need to remember to add water to the fountain on a regular basis (daily on warm days, every other day on regular days) because it evaporates rapidly and if your fountain runs dry, your pump will die. This is not a shortcoming, all fountains will evaporate and require refilling.June 2015 I have had the fountain running nearly continuously for 2 years now. The pump has not stopped, and I have been faithful in adding water so that it does not run dry. I recommend that you add a few drops of Fountec algaecide every couple of days, and every once in awhile a bit of bleach to control the growth of algae. I remain very happy with this fountain. Also, replace the light with Bulbrite LED/JC/12WW Low Voltage LED Miniature JC Bi-Pin Light, Warm White. So far, it also has not burned out in almost 2 years.

This is what I would call an expensive empty shell, all looks and horrible craftsmanship. The reservoir/base leaks when water is put in. I read other reviews that stated the exact same thing, although being that I believe I can fix anything I bought it anyway; bad decision. Before even filling the reservoir with water I bought Rustoleum waterproof clear spray. Layered several coats as per instructions on can and let it dry. I filled the reservoir with water and to my chagrin several days later it was leaking. I will try several other layers to see if I can fix the problem. Other problems included holes not aligning properly to be screwed in which I had to fix.Why should I have to spend the time in doing this for a $300 product…GARBAGE...DO NOT BUY. MAYBE VENDOR WILL GET HINT AND FIX.

I usually read customer reviews. However, I didn't this time, and now I regret it. It took 20 minutes to get it out of the box. It's packed really well but it's taped and taped and the styrofoam breaks and makes a mess. The packing is pretty much destroyed, so I doubt I could return it. It's heavy, but stable when assembled. The wire for the light is about two inches too short. The glass around the bulb is very very fragile and will break with the least little tap. Be very careful with this. The hole in the base for the hose could be a little bigger. It's a very tight fit.There are some holes with threaded sleves in the base that holds the water. This is where the water is pouring out. Large puddles in the floor. I have siliconed around them, but it's still drying and I don't know if that will work or not. After paying that much money for a product, I expected a higher-quality product.It looks nice with the water cascading down and gurgling, but I can't use it if it keep leaking.They really should make a different version for a wall mount, so that setting on a floor or table doesn't have holes in the base that leak.

I actually love this fountain. I've had it for years. When I first purchased it ..it worked great! I have replaced a pump. I took out the bulb for the light so I don't have to use the light. It leaks. I have tried numerous times for seal it. I have tried silicone, I have tried marine glue. I have tried aquarium sealant . Nothing has worked. I have to keep a container underneath it. It makes me sad for a pricey item!!!

I read all the reviews and was a little hesitant to purchase. But, I decided to take the chance. When my boyfriend first put it together, the top part of the fountain (in the back where you screw it together) broke. I was upset that I didn't listen to the reviews. It could be made a little bit better. Fortunately he was able to fix it, and reinforce the piece. (The top is heavy and doesn't have much support from the base). Once put together it is really nice. It's exactly what we were looking for.

This is a pretty nice fountain. We bought this item for our business entryway and it really looks professional and aesthetic. It was fairly easy to assemble, except for the hose attachment was having trouble fitting to the water-pump at first. Somehow one of our coworkers adjusted the hose and made it fit better. I do like this product and I would recommend.

Installed yesterday in my wife's massage office, came in this morning and its leaking through the bottom and the floor is soaked. This thing is pretty heavy and would be a total pain to pack up and return so i am gong to try taking it apart tomorrow and sealing the reservoir from the inside. Guess I would recommend do this first if you get it.If you use the included wall mount you will need some long screws, the bolts that mount fountain to wall bracket stick out pretty far.Very heavy and pretty rough craftsmanship but the water does flow nice down the front surface (just wish it was not leaking onto the floor!)Update: Tried to seal fountain with silicon at all the joints but that did not work. Its almost like it is leaking through the material that it is made out of. Do not buy this fountain! Based on another customers review getting a refund from this company is going to be a challenge :(

Loves it as a gift... its never big enough hahaha
