Was selling house, required by law to have these put up in each bedroom. They were easy to install, and work very well.

Initially rated low due to damaged product and not being able to switch item through Amazon. Called manufacturer listed and received replacement a few days later. Revising rating for good customer service from First Alert.

Ok smoke detector
I bought the three pack thinking they were the real First Alert brand. They are not actual the First Alerts as stated in the description. They are inexpensive generic smoke detectors that seem to work.

Complete junk
These are complete junk. Don't risk a fire just to save money. I'm here to report these are pathetically cheap and do not work. We tested them, and 2 of the 3 did not work.

Easy to installThe one next to my kitchen was already set off (not serious) and suffice to say the volume was loud enough to hear at the other end of the house.I bought two 3 packs which covered all the rooms in my house. For me, a good buy.

Right off the bat! Amazon is selling these 3 pack of smoke alarms as a "First Alert" product which is decieving. Recieved my 2 packs today (6 alarms) and no where on the boxes do they advertise "First Alert" See pic Went to FirstAlert.com and put on the model #. "No results found for item FG200B" so I can get a feel for how the product has been working for others. Turned the box over, states it is made by a company called "Family Guard". Upon further checking, made by Resideo Technologies, out of Arizona which supplies devices to Honeywell and First Alert. My question is? Why does not First Alert sponsor this company and not putting there logo or name, on the box and alarm? I did blow smoke thru the devices for a test and check and worked as advertised. Comes with pre-Installed 9v battery and a easy to open case for mounting. Just in my opinion. The whole thing is misleading for Amazon to be selling this product from First Alert. You do the math.
