Too long strip, not usable for PSR 3000
The contact strips are a bit longer than original strips in the keyboard. It pushes the position of the contacts to the side - off center, will not produce sound unless the ends are cut. I saw another reviewer did that, but I don't want to take a chance, so i order from different vendor that fit perfectly. This strips here are not usable for PSR 3000.

As much as I am happy to have finally fixed a single key not working in my Yamaha PSR-OR700 caused by a torn cylinder in one of the rubber strips, I was frustrated by the quality of these strips, which could have been caused by terrible packaging not suitable for delicate parts like these. These rubber strips are the most important pieces of any keyboard, especially for those models with the Touch feature. It's not enough the strips are compatible or the keys work after you install the rubber, but they have to work with precision to match the touch sensitivity of other keys. (For those not familiar with the Touch feature in many Yamaha keyboards, this is a feature enabled by default and makes the note sound softer or louder depending on how hard/fast you press the key) Unfortunately, 4 out of the 5 strips I received didn't work altogether with some of the keys (some keys in each strip not playing at all). Luckily I needed to replace only one strip, but even the only strip that fully worked didn't make the octave I replaced sound similar to the others when the Touch feature is enabled. It's a subtle difference but noticeable to a person who has been playing the keyboard long enough, and it's noticeable only when the Touch feature is ON, which is the default setting when you switch on the keyboard. If you turn off the Touch feature the new strip sounds similar to other keys and you can't tell the difference, but that's not how we usually play the keyboard. One possible reason behind the 4 defective strips and the one not performing precisely is how they were packaged and shipped. I was shocked to find them twisted and tangled in a small box delivered to me, which may have damaged the flexibility and performance of the rubber cylinders. Also because these are not original Yamaha parts, the rubber quality itself could have played a role as well. I was aware before my purchase these are not original parts. I didn't think this will make a difference in the sound quality, but unfortunately it did. I don't know if the rubber will "soften" over time and make the octave sound similar to the original strips, and I will update this review if it gets better, but for now I only suggest the seller finds another way to package and ship these strips. These are delicate parts and the shipping method may have caused the damage and deterioration in quality.
