The Motive: Why So Many Leaders Abdicate Their Most Important Responsibilities
"**"
Are you a leader? Do you really want to be one???
Have you ever stopped to consider why you are a manager? What motivated you to become one in the first place and what drives you to continue to serve a team, an org, a company in a management position?I was both challenged and motivated by the story and questions posed by Patrick in his latest book which is a striking departure from the leadership lessons in his other fantastic reads like The Ideal Team Player and The Five Dysfunctions of a Team. The Motive is a quick read but the challenge of the "why" questions will stick with you much longer.I recommend The Motive for any executive as they consider not only what makes a strong team but who is capable and willing to be a strong leader.

Not a great book. Just points out one single thing and drags it through the pages. Could be two pages article

Great read - 90 minutes of pure value!
Well written and easy to digest. Read this book over 2 flights. The lessons are spot on and reminded me of the patterns of my past good and bad leaders. More importantly it shaped my view of my personal areas of improvement

I was able to read this fast. Easy to understand and enjoyable. Great message that we have to be the leader who does not avoid what a leader is supposed to do.

I think it was a great book for me as in becoming entrepreneur
I heard about this book on Alex Hormozi instagram, and he said it took him 90 minutes to read it, for me it took much longer, hours but because I’m not used to many words and phrases used in this book. (kindle is great because with highlight text you see the meaning)But at least I read it in one day and night.1. I learned that if you want to succeed you need to like what you’re doing and correct your mistakes and the others around you.2. I also learned that you can perform best if you constantly improve yourself and the others around you, and that is okay to be transparent - yes honesty might be uncomfortable in the moment but, its healthy for everyone on the long run3. And the last thing I learned is to be selfless and responsible, to achieve greatness.

Patric Lencioni dice que es el primero que debes leer
La simplicidad con la que explica lo que debe ser un buen líder puede ayudar a cualquiera a entender su rol, sin importar si es o no el CEO de la compañía.
