SOOLALA Reading Glasses Rectangular Lightweight Thin Steel Frame with Compact Case for Daily Carry

I have to wear reading glasses. Normally I just get standard cheaters from the drugstore. I have been sizing things down in life and have started carrying smaller purses or none at all. The standard glasses are too big for that.I work in a theme park and wear a costume from the early 1900s. Not a lot of pocket room. I tried using the eyeglass chain but kept getting them hung up on everything.Saw these and thought why not.I must say I am happily surprised! The magnification is spot on with no distortions. They are the perfect size for my vision range. The hard carrying slip makes them great for pockets and are not visible in my costume. They are really comfortable as well. Not to mention they fit the costume quite well. Now if I could get sunglasses like this.

I bought this as a costume piece. I needed to make my actor look like FDR. It worked very well. It pinched to the nose, so be aware that it may not stay on ones nose without some adjustments.

I've been wearing another product and found it very convenient to have a set of glasses on my smart phone case for menus and other temporary reading when I'm out. The nose pads quickly fell off, but they still worked fine. I lost that pair on vacation so it was time for a replacement. I tried the SOOLALA mostly because they did not have the nose pads and I thought they might be more comfortable. They are - at least compared to the other product with no nose pads left. I have noticed that over time if looking down they will slowly lean forward so you need to re-adjust once in a while. I don't see that as an issue given how they are typically used.I was surprised they don't come with a means of attaching the case to anything. The glasses and the case seem substantial, but I actually re-used the adhesive that came with the earlier product. Seems like an obvious thing to include - so obvious that it didn't even occur to me to check when I ordered. Otherwise they would be an easy five stars, but I'm giving them four just because it seems like the manufacturer missed the point of the product.

This is meant to be stable by pinching and it's not meant to be worn for any extended time. It is meant to help you read a menu, an item at the supermarket, something on the run, for a little while.And for this, it is excellent! Stays firmly in place even when you are poring over a book or a menu. [not so much after some use]They are also super cute.Finally, they are super thin! Fit even in a narrow wallet, take up minimal space. Look at the picture. I’ve put a Starbucks card next to the wallet so that people can see its width. You can barely see the glasses. It's the lack of arms that makes this super thin, so you need to decide what tradeoff you want. I want it taking zero space in my wallet and this is my best bet. Even collapsing arms would double the width.But the case is very firm but also very elegant, stainless on one side, faux tortoise on the other. A great buy, but buy a half point higher than normal. Will make reading easier.Finally, it gave me window of 9/20-10/5 and it was delivered 9/13.

I discovered the ease and affordability of Pince Nez readers awhile back. I cant tell you how many people have come up to me in the grocery or reading a program at the theater to ask me where I found this great option. Little children in particular are fascinated, having never seen this type of eyeglass on anyone, except Teddy and Franklin Roosevelt. First, these come in a 2 set option which makes it easy to carry one with you and still have one at home and the price is great. The quality and fit are terrific and the various placement options on your nose make them extremely comfortable to wear. I can slip them in my pocket or carry them in my purse. The case is a sturdy brushed aluminum and the overall weight of the glasses is really light. You won't usually find these at your local stores and the power options makes them available for just about everyone. I recommend them highly to everyone needing just a little help reading the fine print but hate the idea of carrying readers around on a chain around your neck.

After reading reviews saying they either pinch the nose too tight or are too loose and fall off it's clear reviewers are missing the obvious. Not everyone's nose is the same size/shape. I've owned a similar pair which unlike these were rimless. Not having the rim resulted in small scratches on the lenses from the case. It didn't render them unusable, just a bit annoying. The rim on these prevents scratching. It also holds them more securely in the case. I think the construction is solid, better than my previous pair (the rim adds durability). If you plan on using these to read War and Peace in a single sitting you've got the wrong product. For reading the restaurant menu or credit card receipt they're perfect. Seriously, if you have these on for more than 45 second at one time you're not using them correctly. I got mine for nine bucks so not much room to complain about quality.

I’ve been using the Nooz brand and they are a bit price but are great. I tried to replace them with this one and the lens is terrible it makes me dizzy even though it’s what I normally use and they fall off my nose. They also scratch my nose. I did not like them at all!

I really like these, however, the case needs to be lined because they scratch the lenses every time you insert or remove them. As others have mentioned, the screws are loose that hold the bridge to the frame. It would also be nice if the case had a loop so you could attach them to a necklace or keychain. I wanted to like them when I ordered them, I DO like them, but they won't last long due design flaws. I wish they'd fix them, I'd order more.

Love these little glasses. They perch on my nose nicely as I read. They are made for reading while you sit not for moving about with them on. Great for reading on the couch or at the table or in bed. The little case that comes with them is also very good, I can take them with me without fear of breakage.

Construction is durable and lens is very clear. Stays firmly on the very tip of my nose; is excellent for quick check of a small-print ingredient list or dosage on a pill bottle, e.g. when shopping and I don't want/need to bring my regular reading glasses along. But for sitting down for any sustained reading of a book or magazine, it's not very workable.It won't stay on the bridge of my nose, and the workable nose-tip position constricts breathing through the nose somewhat and is not comfortable over long periods. Metal case is nice; protects item but doesn't seal out dust. A useful added feature would be a small loop on one side to attach a cord or to handle the item without touching the lens. I can recommend this item for people who have a regular set of reading glasses at home and/or who only need compact reading glasses for small print occasionally when out shopping, dining, etc. Might be more versatile for someone with a thin nose bridge.
