Sashas Rain and Wind Cover for Chicco KeyFit 30 Infant Car Seat

So I bought this item before my son arrived in September. I wanted to use it for protection against the Coronavirus since he couldn't wear a mask. I only use it when I take him to pick up groceries and to doctors appointments. I place the cover on prior to getting out of the car, leave it on while checking in and waiting in the waiting room, then I take it off as soon as I get back to a patient's room and place it back on prior to leaving the room. I know it won't prevent 100% against the virus because of the air holes, but in my personal opinion, it's better than nothing! It's better than a blanket, too! It stays put unlike blankets. Please understand that I am in no way, shape or form a disease specialist to know how much, or if any at all, of the virus(s) this will protect your little one from. I use it for my own peace of mind. It's definitely not meant to be used for long periods of time. I do hesitate a little to put it on simply because I can't validate the airflow/quality under the cover, but there are a decent number of holes throughout the cover.I also used this item to let family visit him for the first few weeks after birth, too. Again, it was used for my own peace of mind. Worked great for that! I also used this item for Halloween. My little one was only a month old this Halloween and it ended up being pretty windy and chilly. We sat on our porch for a few minutes and watched some of the trick-or-treaters. He stayed warm the whole time. We haven't used it during the rain yet, but I imagine it would work perfectly for that, too.I have the specific carseat that this was designed for and I can validate that it fit perfectly. It's snug (which is what you want to keep air flowing through the holes and to keep the plastic from falling inward onto the child.) The material seems to be durable. I'll update my review if something should change on that, but as of right now, I'd definitely recommend this to all my mommas!! The one thing I liked with this specific cover versus the several others that I looked at was design in which leaves the handle exposed for easy grip!

My first purchase with Sashas was a rain cover for my Graco Fastaction Jogger. Very happy with the purchase! Fits perfect and works great! My sister just got a Chicco Travel System which comes with a Keyfit 30 Infant Car Seat. Living on the Olympic peninsula is very rainy and sometimes windy so I immediately searched for a rain cover. To my delight up came Sashas again. I actually ended up getting her Sasha’s Sun Cover for the Chicco Key Fit 30 also. But thats for another review. Well my sister is very happy with the rain cover. It fits great and does not get in the way of the carrier handle. The little holes are great for ventilation. It is held nice and snug by elastic. It actually looks good on her carrier! Ok maybe a little to excited about a rain cover but I have purchased a few other brands before and they were terrible. My sister walks to work every day so I know she thinks of me when it rains. My nephew must also be warm, dry and happy. Thank you again Sasha!

I live in FL and for the “Sunshine State” it actually rains quite often here, so I wanted to protect my daughter since the rainy season (Summer) is coming up. I love my Sasha Rain and Wind cover! It works as advertised and protects my daughter from the rain and still has venting holes on the sides so there is airflow and I’m not worried my daughter won’t be able to breathe. I also get so many compliments from other mothers when I use it around town so it’s definitely filling a need and has a “cool factor” for moms out there. I told them I got it from Amazon so I hope they come back here and purchase some too!

This comes off easily and you must take the whole thing on and off each time youove the baby. It is better than nothing but the one I had before was much better. My first cover was a universal cover that stayed on and had a zipper. It was muchorw convenient than this one.

Took 2 attempts to find the right way to put it on, which is place on the bottom foot edge first then pull over the hood. Even though it has side air vents we found that it still steams up quiet a bit inside. Living in Chicago & having a newborn during winter make this cover a necessity for snow & rain so I'm glad to have it, I do wish it wasn't as tight fighting as it makes me concerned about durability...only time will tell & weather will test.
