Caran D'ache Set of 40 Pastel Pencils (788.340)

Very smooth and comfortable pin quality. Great value for the money. Will keep using.

The quality of these pastels is obvious. The texture is creamy. They sink into the paper and shade beautifully. Good blending. Colors are just as they appear in the pastel, not lighter as with some brands. Obviously if you drop them you might shatter the pastel inside the wooden case, just as with block pastels or any other pencil. Truly elevate every piece or sketch they touch. (BTW, I'm not sure I would buy these for someone just starting out. It's good to learn the vagaries of pencil media in general first.)

The quality of this pastel pencils is great, I would recommend using a sand paper to sharpen the lead before using them for the first time, the box also includes a recommendation that says the same, the colors are soft and vibrant but they produce more dust than other brands like Faber Castell Pitt

i have several different pastel pencils that I have ordered through this last year and these are by far my favorite. As a budding “doggie artist” they bumped up my skill level immediately.

These chalk pastels give off very little dust and blend beautifully. They really are superior as far as I’m concerned and feel you only live once and if you get a lot out of coloring etc. they are a joy to use.

Nice vivid pigments, lovely to work with and blend.

Gorgeous pastel pencils and so thrilled to enjoy using for my sketchbook and other endeavors.
