Good quality
Quality is good, dosa comes out well. Since it's cast iron need to season it well. The only problem is the handle which is in cast iron. It becomes hot while cooking so have to be careful and needs a cloth napkin to hold.It would be better if wooden handle or silicon cover is provided.

The best cast iron tawa, must have.
I was searching for a good cast iron dosa tawa, seen many brands online, but was not satisfied with any of them. Few were very expensive, few were of poor quality, then later I found this brand, after seeing many positive reviews I made my mind to buy this, though its bit expensive side, but comparatively sounded reasonable, as its one time investment, and the reason i loved this tawa was its made in India, and they are giving one year warranty. My tawa arrived bit early , packaging was decent, tawa is pre seasoned, though there was bit chipping here in there, apart from that it was good. I cleaned it thoroughly with normal scrub using salt n mild liquid dish washing gel, wiped it dry, applied gingelly oil generously and heated tawa on medium to high flame for around 20min, while heating i saw rust coming out, wiped it with thick cotton cloth several times, dont use paper towel or other thin cloths to wipe tawa, they will get burn, even after a long process it was not properly seasoned, i saw old seasoning getting peeled of, i let it cool down on its own , again washed it, this time with steel scrub using salt and liquid soap, then followed same seasoning process. This time also i saw little rust oozing out, wiped it couple of times and continued heating process, viola after 20min of heating process my tawa was well seasoned , its shiney smooth black surface, i was happy with the final output, next day i made dosas, before my first dosa i applief oil and heated tawa on high heat, then lowered the flame, wiped excess oil with thick cloth and made dosa first one didnt come out well, 2nd one was good with crispy bottom, finally i have my dream cast iron dosa tawa, total happy with the product, go for it with out any thoughts, i wrote My seasoning process to help others, hope it serves the purpose, thank you bhagya cast iron team for wonderful made in india tawa :-)

Love this cast iron dosa from coimbatore!
Cast iron tawa is not for folks who are lazy, want quick results and dont have time to spare for the finer things in life!I have always hated tawas with non stick coating of Teflon. Please underrstand this - in whatever material you cook, the material.of the utensil is bound to mix and get ingested in the body. Teflon may look very convenient but in due course of time, it will.slowly mix with food and enter your body. Dont be under the impression that since the teflon is not chipped off you are safe. Chemical from Teflon slowly poisons the body without your ever knowing it.Hence i prefer cast iron tawa. Now you may argue, iron may also seep and mix into food. Yes you are right, but in this case iron is good for the body. So if it gets into your body its beneficial! Unlike teflon!Non stick cookware is cheaper than teflon but take your call from a long term.perspective of health!Pros-1. Heavy and large in size - make large dosas2. Fits perfectly on my gas stove3. Dosas come off as good as non stick4. Retains heat for long time5. Absolutely flat..love itCons-1. Wish it had a wooden handle to hold. Now use owen glovesTips-1. Prepare the tawa by heating it for 10mins before laying yiur dosas. May keep it to sim later2. Post usage, no need to clean with detergent and water. Just wipe with tissue paper, oil it again and store3. Scrap any leftover stuck on the pan properly before the next dosa4. Proper maintenancd it will last your life timeLove this cast iron dosa from coimbatore!Hope this review helped? Please let me know..

Avg buy
Ppl tell cooking in cast iron enhances taste but I didn't find such enhancement when cooked dosa on this tawa. Also when spread across , dosa not evenly getting crispy esp near the raised edges . After spending this much money , I'm not satisfied with its performance. Also small dosas only v can make.At the centre it's raised slightly so when u oil it , the oil slides down towards the raised edges n get collected there. This type of design also I didn't like it. Could have bought normal design dosa tawa
