Fast and easy
Okay - I hardly write any product reviews as like all of us I'm busy. Yet I buy alot off Amazon. Why am I writing this? I was fed up with the family moaning about unreliable wifi in the house. I'd spent endless hours with wifi powerline adapters which frankly have been great and definitely have their place. However I personally found I ended up with my router and 3 adapters, one wired to the kids PS4. Coverage was ok but seemed unreliable with multiple devices wanting more data. The ones I had were also not dual band. So time to upgrade. I'm a fanatical researcher and will look at multiple website reviews from pros and amateurs alike. After hours of endless research I plumped for these units. One of the most expensive I know.Delivered on time today and great quality feel but that didn't fool me, the proof is in the pudding so to speak.I was worried about the other reviews of poor and slow App and resetting and difficult to set up - don't we all look at the negative reviews? No worries - the App is fine and the set up easy, just be patient (as some of the other reviews say!) tech needs time to configure and connect. I was patient, it only takes a couple of minutes, a few more to update firmware.Within an hour all 3 units are unpacked, plugged in and working. I live in a 5 bed 3 level house with double plasterboard ceilings, thick floors and solid doors, but still went for the 3 pack units as I wanted to be sure of coverage.I'm running 2 PC's Ps4, laptop, 4 phones, 3 HD Tv's and recently upgraded to a claimed 400 MBps service. The attached photo speaks for itself. The best I could get before was 200MBps on the main PC. I can now get 368!I've also walked outside and on 2.4GHz I get to the end of my Culdesac before I drop one bar of signal (about 40m).This is only afternoon one but I am so impressed I've written this review. I probably think going for all 3 units was overkill as 2 units were about £120 cheaper but I appear to have superb wifi all over my road!Hopefully this will be as reliable as it has performed this afternoon. You get what you pay for. Hope this helps others.

Works extremely well - in the end.
The package arrived exactly when forecast and the contents were well packed. It took approximately three hours to have the three boxes speaking to each other and connected not only to the usual suspects, computers, iPads etc , but also to Hue, Naim MusoQ and, rather to my surprise, by ethernet cable to an Airport express (wireless off) which then plays through my hifi via optical cable. I also confirm that Apple's `Time Machine" is connected via the ethernet port and is recognised.I was tempted to knock a star off for a number of false starts (find paperclip, reset, start again, repeat) due to the glacial speed of the App. and some problems with getting the ethernet to speak to my Virgin Modem. However, it works, very well now, so in the end I stick to five. It is certainly a big advance on the CPL/Netgear kit I had before.BTW I chose it over the Ubiquiti because the ethernet ports are available where I wanted them (not just by the modem entry point).Edit on 20 June: Following a succession of warnings received by email and by post from Virgin Media about my internet connection in the following form:"Your home devices could be at riskWe're writing to let you know that a device connected to your home network has been identified as having a potential Multicast DNS vulnerability.Multicast DNS is commonly used to share music and video streaming services between devices on your home network. Multy was then switched to Bridge Mode.I hope that is the end of the messages from Virgin.

Be patient... It's well worth it!
The best WiFi we have ever had. In the past we have used ISP supplied routers, mains wifi extenders, Sky Q main and mini boxes and Apple Airport extremes and expresses, and every one had issues somewhere in the house. Not with this kit.Installed the iPhone app, follow the idiot guide (I know what I'm doing with this stuff so the temptation to dive straight in was high) and you will be rewarded with perfect WiFi throughout the house. We went for the 3 box solution to cover our thick-walled house, garage and garden. The first box is plugged into your ISP supplied router, switch on, let the app find it, give it a WiFi network name and then it set's itself up. You are then prompted to install second and subsequent boxes if required. You are told whether the position of further boxes is optimal or if they need moving to get best results. The only thing to watch out for is that the process can take some time to complete so don't rush it, let the app and the boxes sort themselves out including any required firmware updates. The only thing I had to change from the normal was setting 'Bridge Mode' to allow devices on WiFi to see devices wired directly to then network. Other than that it's all good.In short, highly recommended!!

Expensive but probably worth it in the long run. Good product
Only had a few hours but already noticed speed has improved and also WiFi coverage around the house. App is good which you use to set up. Set up very easy. Only improvement is that zyxel could improve the information on how many nodes are needed. I am in a 3 floor detached 5 bed house. I went for 3 pack. Actually 2 would be enough. On box (not web) it says 2 pack for up to 5000sqft which would be sufficient for me. I considered Linksys, Orbi also. Orbit market leader. Reviews put Orbi above zyxel in performance but read more negatives from consumers on orbi hence I went with the next best

Edited after 4 months use - unstable!
After 4 months - so this system has fell over completely twice, so needed a complete reconfig from scratch! It’s also just stopped working probably 10 times, the SSIDs disappear and a restart of the main AP fixes it. The app is almost useless.Starting an RMA now, but I’ll probably just have to buy something else instead! Support was useless, didn’t troubleshoot or look at logs or anything.Original review - I got these to replace a single Unifi AP Lite - and it works, it was easy to set up. My coverage has improved a bit at the back of the house/garden (4 floors but didn't put one in the cellar), but to be honest, its not increased that much over the single AP Lite which was on the middle floor. The app is verrrrrrrrrry slow to load all the details, and quite often just doesn't load the connected clients. The various speed tests are pretty handy though, and as a whole this should meet my needs for a few years. I am a senior IT manager, but I don't geek out that much when I am at home!Only issue I had was one AP dropped offline once, but the LED didn't indicate that, and the app didn't send notification - I just noticed when going to the app one day. I messaged Zyxel support and they said to try another phone, which of course in no way would fix the issue, and I don't own multiple phones!I use it in bridge mode, which was easy to change over to - and would probably be the recommended setup for most people to be honest. There is no web back end to the APs, which would be handy for more advanced settings. You can separate out 5 and 2.4 networks, which I had to do, as you cannot tie a device to a specific one if they are the same SSID (for Ring, most IP cameras etc).
