Product has changed a bit
I bought one of these jackets eight years ago, and really, really liked it. To be fair it wasn’t the best quality (the zippers tended to get stuck shut), but I liked the look and fit and it held up well. I wore it probably twice a week, across three continents, and in all kinds of weather. Then, all at once, a few months ago, the faux leather started to irrevocably flake off. I came back to buy another and saw in the reviews that it is now branded as Lock & Love and not Made by Johnny.Unfortunately, it’s not quite the same. The images show the old Made by Johnny jacket on the left, next to the new Lock & Love version of the jacket on the right. Despite a very similar pattern and hardware, there are some differences. Both are XS, but the new jacket is slightly longer and larger. The new jacket has an added hook loop (great!), and a tag warning about lead exposure (mildly concerning). The older MBJ jacket is also “black” but has some dimensionality and variation in color, a matte-ish dark gray that’s almost a denim look. There’s more texture, especially around the seams, and the stitching uses a thicker thread and is neater, with fewer loose threads. The new L&L version is very flat, both in construction and color, with almost no gathering at the seams and a shiny dark black finish. The look is still good, but what concerned me enough to return the L&L jacket is that the material is different and I don’t think it will be durable or wear well. In one of the photos I show the buttonhole at the cuffs: the PU fabric on the MBJ jacket is uniformly dark, so even once the coating started flaking, it wasn’t that obvious because the fabric beneath was the same color. On the L&L jacket, the material is white beneath the coating, which means you can see points of white showing around some of the stitching, and any nicks or flaking in the finish will be obvious. In fact, the jacket arrived with some minor flaking already around the front zipper (see photo). At a much lower price I might keep it, but I think it’s overpriced at this quality.

Good for what you pay for
This is a great product if you don't want to spend too much on a leather jacket. The price is reasonable and overall it is a nice jacket. My only problem is that I had to size up a bit. Normal I were a L but had to replace to get the XL.

Not made for muscular women, order two sizes up if you workout your arms and back.
I saw comments saying to order a size up, but then I had to order up another size as it was way too tight in the arms and shoulders where it felt like it would break. Then I ordered a large which is still a little tight there but very loose in the rest of the torso. I kept the large one but wish it fit better in the lower part instead of being so big there and wish it was a little looser in the arms. It does withstand my hyper dog jumping up on me and has not gotten messed up from her nails though so that is a plus.

Cute jacket
I can't wait till its nice enough to wear this jacket out. It fits perfect in the chest/arms; the arm length is a bit long for me; Its shorter than I wanted it to be and can barely zip it up but it fits so well otherwise Im keeping it. I don't wear jackets like this zipped up anyway.

Not a Made by Johnny jacket
Received jacket but it was not a Made by Johnny, it was Lock and Love Brand! I usually wear a medium or large depending on brand. I ordered a large and overall fit is good but the arms a a bit big and bulky around. The lining inside has zipper but unless you’re going to zip the bottom of the coat as well it looks weird because under lining is much shorter than coat itself. Overall very cute coat!

Order a Size Up!!!
The media could not be loaded. Unlike some of the others who bought this jacket, mine was made by Johnny. However, the inside fabric under the arm still ripped. My usual size is a Large, which is what I ordered, but maybe ordering an XL could have prevented this?Still a cute jacket, & it does keep me warm.

Runs Small
This is a nice jacket. I had to return my XL for a XXL bc it was too small in the shoulders. I usually wear between L-XL shirts and this jacket isn’t for you if you have any kind of upper body muscle. The XXL is still tight around my biceps. Kind of disappointed but I’m going to keep it

Live the look and fit
Love the style and color. The right pocket zipper won't open. The zippers in general feel fragile. I do love the jacket though

Runs small and is quite short.
Going by the sizing guide I ordered a small, it does do up but is quite tight, and short, I feel like a medium would be more comfortable. Unfortunately it only offers me a return with refund option instead of an exchange for a larger size which is what I'd prefer. I am disappointed.

I love it!!
The jacket is exactly what I wanted. I ordered the medium and it fits perfectly. I like the weight of it too. Feels like you’re wearing real leather. It looks awesome wearing it both ways (with and without the hood). I am very happy with my purchase.
