This laser measuring unit is VERY nice. It's well made and while it comes with a book which will tell you all the things it can do, I found it very easy to use right out of the box. The packaging is nice and it even comes with a little protective bag to keep it scratch free and clean in your tool box. The screen is very easy to read and it has a LOT of functions for the price. I saw this being used by a youtuber demonstrating how he sets up his hifi speakers and I HAD to have it! This is my first laser measuring unit like this, but I can say that it appears to be super accurate and the ability to read angles also is going to be very useful! I will add a photo asap, so you can see the true size and the protective bag.

This laser tape measure is very cool and very accurate. I bought it to plan out when to add posts on back yard for sunshades over a bumpy terrain by myself and this tool made the job a simple task. It displays the last four measurements, so I didn't have to stop and write it down after each measurement. I believe it will save up to 30, but I never needed more than the four for what I used it for. I find myself using this tool more than I ever thought I would. You also have the option to have tool take the measurement from the front or the back when butted up against an item.

I bought this laser measure mostly for the price. I use a measure daily and I've broken too many expensive measures to count. I prefer Bosch and my favorite is a Bosch GLM-80. I like the measurements in decimal form which is easy to input into my CAD software. I also like the angle measure and volumetric functions.That is what I was looking for in this measure. I was most cince5with accuracy. I took several indoor measurements down the length of our warehouse and was pleased to see that the measurements were never off by more than 1/16th of an inch or 0.0625"That is good enough for what I need.Both suck at outdoor measurements beyond the human eye's ability to see a tiny red dot. If the measure can see it, you'll get a reading, but if you can't see it, there's no telling what got measured.I like the lanyard. It was a pain to attach, but I won't be dropping this one as often because of it.My only complaint is that it cannot show imperial measurements in decimal. I have to convert my dimensions to input them into my CAD software.Running off of two AAA batteries is fine. The battery door feels a bit cheap. There does not appear to be any dust or moisture protection, so I'll have to be careful using it outdoors or stuffing it in a sweaty pocket.The velour drawstring bag is fine. I prefer a nylon pouch with a velcro flap, but for the price, I'm happy.This measure is easy to use, easy to read, and easy on the pocketbook. I recommend it.

Perfect toy for an adult with OCD or someone who wants to get rough measure of everything they see.

Exactly what I was looking for. It's accurate. A comprehensive instruction manual is included. It comes with a one year warranty according to the instruction manual. As of September 2025, just under $34 with the $5.10 coupon applied. Runs on two AAA Batteries which are included.Easy to operate, switch modes, etc., again measures in inches, in feet and inches, and in metric.Definitely would purchase it again.If it lasts a reasonable amount of time it is well worth what I paid. If it doesn't I'll be back to update the review.

I got the Mileseey D5 with 70m range. I am surprised by its excellent accuracy. I ran some tests against a tape measure for six distances using the feet-inch-fraction units. The results ranged from 0" error at best to 5/16" (7.9mm) at worst. Holding the device very steady I think helps the accuracy so the 5/16" error may be operator error.Angle accuracy was 0.5° or better. Due to the built-in digital clinometer, a single measurement taken with the unit on the floor, angled up is all that is needed for a nearby wall height. It does the trigonometry automatically. This thing will make short work of measuring rooms in a house.It has a add/subtract function. Not a big deal unless you're using feet-inch-fraction units. If you are subtracting two feet-inch-fraction measurements it gives the result in feet-inch-fraction--a big help with US measurements. The displayed precision is to 1/16". If it was any tighter I wouldn't believe it anyway so I'm glad it does not show 1/32" as some models do.My limited tests outdoors for 42 feet and 52 feet were as close as I could get on a tape, even when I could not see the laser dot in direct sunlight.If you want to get any decent life from the batteries you need to turn off the laser as soon as practical. The laser will drain the two small AAA batteries in a hurry. It would have been better if it used higher capacity AA batteries.It comes with a cloth bag--better than nothing but not ideal in a tool box. I would have preferred a belt pouch. While we're at it a tripod mount would be a help. No such luck on the D5. It would aid outdoor measurements.There are a few errors in the included user manual:-- It does not show the Pythagoras 3-point mode (which the D5 does do)-- It says to use the included target plate for long distances--but mine did not include a target plate.-- It says memory capacity is 20 measurements. Mine holds 30.I could not find a pdf manual for the D5 but if you can find the pdf manual for the Tacklife S2 with similar buttons it is nearly identical in operation and specs.I'm impressed with the price/performance of the D5. I'm done measuring a 30 foot span with a 25 foot tape. I gave it five stars for price/performance, even with its minor negatives. It's a keeper--but have spare batteries handy.

Have not used any of the pythagorean measurements. But the basic distance measurement, and area calculations work great. As a Canadian, I really like how easy it is to switch between measurement units, can go from metric to freedom units in one button press without losing your history. For things like calculating room square-footage to buy flooring, or other supplies, or to measure a room for furniture this thing is far more convenient than a standard tape measureWhile I have not verified the accuracy, it passes the eyeball test ("yep, that looks like 6' 4 15/16" to me too").

It's fast and easy to use.It's also pretty accurate for my needs, it measured the same distance as my tape measure.
