I have been a magician since before JFK was elected. This is a fairly well made piece of kit that will serve you well even if you are a professional. It's all in the presentation, and I feel that this is getting some bad reviews because...The instructions are easier to understand if you have done magic before, it needs a PK ring or similar device that creates a magical field.When the bolt is correctly setup putting it into the magical field created by the PK device, the bolt does begin to vibrate and the nut begins to turn.There is a tool, I'll call it a puller. The puller is used off stage to set up the device.In setting up, a small expendable item is used. This item is available on Amazon for less than a dollar. The one provided was old, and it worked but not well.When the expendable item is almost 'empty' the effect is less magical, as the bolt willvibrate at a lower and more audible frequency.PK ring: about 5-30 USD depending on quality . THERE IS A PAIR OF ITEMS INCLUDED that are a poor substitute for the PK RING. If you are a magician you probably understand this and likely own a suitable PK field emitter such as a ring.The trick will technically work just fine as it was when I received mine but you will need to replace the expendable item and the ones I received were old and not strong any more.I'm not trying to give a bad review -- I have bought two of these, one to carry in my pocket and one for when I can't lay my hands on the first one. If I were doing a walk around I might carry the spare to avoid replacing the expendable item in public. It is quick and easy but definitely an off stage process you will want some light and a few moments of privacy, and really at this price it's worth it to not have to interrupt your flow.Any magic item requires some practice and ability, this one could be done by beginners, and mid level performers can probably make the illusion more believable and someone who is just awesome could make this look like a genuine miracle. In the right routine this can be really delightful and fresh and very magical.I don't recommend this for children. Every item involved can be swallowed, and the innocuous expendable could cause severe injury if it were swallowed.This almost works itself, the sleight involved is subtle and easy. But it needs practice and the ability to keep a secret.Really, it could be a little bit better made but it's more than four stars worth. I'd call it a nine. Plenty good enough and probably will last for years.Lastly, it's a nut and a bolt. Be careful you don't lose it in your nuts and bolts. It really does look and feel like just a nut and just a bolt. You can literally hand it to someone and it will seem exactly like a nut and a bolt to them. The magic is well hidden.

This is a very clever trick that has entertained everyone I show it to. Of course, any good magic trick needs a good story to go with it. So, I tell the audience to check the bolt/nut, then I tell them it has special powers to read minds, and if they concentrate on the nut spinning off the bolt, it will do that all by itself. Of course it does not, because they don't know the trick, but they are amazed when I then take back the nut/bolt, stare at it, and the nut spins off all by itself!

Works but a little awkward to use.

So I work at a hardware store and honestly.I absolutely love this trick. Once I received it I would definitely have paid a lot more for it. It's extremely magical and they can handle it and they will never figure it out.
