Not Delicate.
Purchased tape to secure artwork in process to my board. I’ve used Art Pro tape in the past (on the expensive side) worked amazing, as well as regular blue painters tape that was decent but if I wasn’t careful would rip my paper.I thought the delicate painters tape would work better...but no, it’s harsh on all paper and immediately tore both types I tested it on; 46 lbs. and a 184 lbs.I learned my lesson, spend the money on the pro art tape and don’t waste your time on this if you’re looking for “delicate” tape.

easy release, but not very sticky
As advertised, this tape effectively masks off areas when painting. I didn't notice any seep under the tape, which is a little better than my results with normal masking tape. And it's super-easy to handle, it doesn't stick very much to itself, and doesn't get stuck to your hands. I can even handle it wearing nitrile gloves without it annoyingly clinging to the gloves. The negative? It's not that sticky where you DO want it to stick. On a painted surface, I couldn't pin one end, and then smooth out the rest, the tape would pop loose-- I had to work with pieces small enough that I could apply the whole strip at once. It comes off at even a gentle tug.Removal was clean and easy. One tiny bit of underlying paint came up when I removed, but it was paint on an unprimed plastic surface-- my fault, rather than the tape's.Recommended for taping off delicate surfaces. On other surfaces, normal Scotch masking tape will be easier to handle.

Great for Watercolor Painting
I use this tape on paper when I’m painting, especially with watercolor. It works great, doesn’t let the water bleed, and is gentle enough to not tear the paper. I highly recommend this for artists.

isn't tape supposed to stick?
I had a really hard time getting this painter's tape to stick to my walls. I'd put it up and within minutes the tape peeled away from the wall. Once I got it to actually stick (by rubbing back and forth on it over and over and over again) it didn't do a great job keeping the painting lines crisp.I'll just give this tape to my kids to use because I definitely won't be using it for painting projects anymore.
