REMINGTON Pro Hair Dryer with Thermaluxe Advanced Thermal Technology, Purple, AC9140S

I used to have a Remington hair dryer that was bright pink (idk which model but I bought it a few years ago) that worked GREAT! I loved it! But I dropped it and busted the switches so I needed a new one. I bought several different ones to try (including a much more expensive one from the brand L’ange) and liked this one the best. I have a TON of hair and this was the most powerful. It works great and dries my hair quickly. But, had two faults: 1) be very careful of the back, if your hair even just barely brushes it, it’ll suck your hair right up! 2) the “non tangle cord” actually tangles more than my last dryer. I saw in another review someone said it’s just the normal cord wrapped in fabric, which is pretty much it. It twists around a lot which is annoying, but that’s it. I really like it.

Over the years I've bought a few blow dryers, spending a little more money each time, but they were wimpy and limited. Finally, one that really blasts and doesn't feel like a gentle breeze. I could not possibly love this gorgeous hair dryer more!! I know, it seems silly to wax poetic about a mechanical appliance like this, but this thing is how ALL appliances should be: high-quality, powerful, perfectly-functioning, beautifully designed with quality materials and complete with special details like the metallic racing stripe. I especially adore the fabric-covered cord! I had used crappy, lightweight hairdryers of various models from ConAir and the other usual suspects for my whole life and always considered them a necessary evil, because I hadn't ever been exposed to a nicer option. On those shoddy driers, the finish would always wear or peel off, little plastic bits would break off, the motor would start to blow air that smelled funny after a while, and they never did a very solid job. They were big and clunky, whereas this one is streamlined and elegant in design. When my previous dryer finally broke completely, I resolved to find the best replacement I could find. THIS IS IT!

I love this hair dryer! I have lots of hair and need a machine that will dry my hair! This is the 3rd Remington I’ve had over the years. Excellent product! Don’t even mess with the cheap hair dryers. Not worth it. The ionic feature is so great if you want a salon quality blowout at home! I’ve tried the cheapies. I’ve tried the salon ones. Way to heavy for me. This is a great dryer! You’ll be amazed. Drys quickly also. Hair is not damaged. Shiny. Puts out the right amount of heat to smooth your hair out. Others do not do this! Can’t say enough! Cord is nice too. Non tangling.

I had to replace an old hairdryer that just stopped working. I did a lot of research on blowdryers and read lots of ratings, and chose this one. It's much quieter than my old one, and works well. Overall I'm happy with this blowdryer, but there are a few things I wanted to share:1. I know it was supposed to have less heat as one of it's selling points, but when I first started using it, I was surprised to find how little heat it really is. I guess I was just used to my old one that was hot. This one is just above room temp. (at the max heat setting) but now I see that I didn't need all the heat, because this blowdryer dries my hair really quickly without the heat!2. One of the advertised features of this blowdryer is the cloth cord which doesn't tangle. Well, basically what they did, was take a regular plastic/rubber cord, and cover it with a woven fabric. So, it's like having an extra thick cord. It is very stiff, and hard to wrap around the blowdryer when putting it away. I've found a technique that works, so I'm used to it now, but it's kinda annoying.3. I find the handle a little long, perhaps it's because it has the loop at the end to "hang up" the dryer. I don't hang up my dryer - I wrap the cord around the handle and put it away in a closet. That's why I was disappointed by the cord (see #2).Having said all that, I think it's a good value for the money. Just be aware - there were two sellers who had the exact same dryer - one was like $40 and the other was like $20. I went with the $20 one, and I'm happy I did. It came in the original packing, and it worked right out of the box. I would recommend this product.

Just got this dryer and already I see that low speed is just as powerful as my old blow dryer's high speed. Ha! Seems good quality plastic, not flimsy. It says guaranteed for 4 years and after reading all the positive reviews I am giving it a try.

Just what I needed !My old Remington which I had for at least ten years (?? Whoops ) was so trustworthy, I just hadn’t realized it gradually wasn’t actually that hot or warm any longer. I’m happy with the weight, features and design here. Appreciate the attachments, all of which are useful to me. Dryer gets hot, it fits nicely in my hand and works great. Dries my hair SO much faster than before with almost no frizz now.Happy with my purchase. 🙂

This is a high quality hair dryer. Our whole family uses it, including small children. I was concerned about buying this because some people have posted in other comments that it is not hot enough. I think the heat is more than adequate and I don't want to burn my children's heads. My hair drys very quickly using this hair dryer. Another concern that I read was the placement of the on/off and heat switches. Someone was annoyed because the user kept on inadvertently hitting the off switch. I didn't experience this problem. It is also fairly quiet for a hair dryer. I'm very happy with this purchase.
