Hanging pictures in an old home
I just bought an old house with built-in picture rails. A friend said I should try them out to hang some of my pictures. I couldn't find any hooks locally, so I picked these up on Amazon and they work great. They hooked right into the rail and held several of my pictures up. It actually looks pretty cool. They were easy to use and I'm planning on getting another set to hang a few more up this way including a couple of canvases. I'd recommend if you have the old-fashioned picture rails and picture frames with a wire on back.

It has everything you need to hang pictures in less than a minute!
I have used molding hooks before, but dealing with the wire that has to be tied securely to both the frame and the hook is a pain. This system works beautifully! No holes in the walls is wonderful too. We have white molding so the hooks just about disappear while the slim wire looks modern and polished. HIGHLY recommend.

STRONG. SO VERY, VERY STRONG.
I usually sell at conventions indoors. Because of COVID, I had to transition to selling at arts markets. Because I sell mostly paper, I had to set up a tent with all three walls, anchor it with heavy weights, and use gridwall for my products. The gridwall legs were useless and I needed the gridwall to hang from the tent to support the walls. These did the job for 6' x 2' grid wall panels! For reference, these things weigh about 10+ pounds each. One wire will hold one grid wall, but it would rotate when the wind blew. So, I used two per gridwall and it worked. I looped the wire around the tent beam and through itself, put on the hook clip, and then clipped it to the left most part of the gridwall. I did this on the right and left corners, making it taut. This prevented the tent from having that "breathing" effect in higher winds. It also enabled me to hang more art on the walls of my tent using gridwall hooks. Some of the wires bent a little, but they still work. Better than S hooks and easier and more cost effective than zip ties. They're lightweight, too. So, if you have to travel with them, they won't weigh your checked bags down too much. Although, TSA did stop me when they were in my carry on because it was so much metal! Absolutely fantastic product. Very happy. Great value for the money!

Works well, need more slider hooks though
These hooks hang well on my moulding, but like other reviewers, I wish they were slightly more curved to curl around and hug the edge. The weight of the art piece seems to keep it in place where I have it, but I imagine if it were near a door or if I had more traffic near that piece, it might slide off from being jostled. It’s been up for 10 months with no issues though. I have 12 foot ceilings, the cables are plenty long for the 10 foot high rail and then some. You must either wrap and secure the ends behind the art or simply use a cable cutter to trim the excess. I chose to wrap the excess with a zip tie in case I move this piece and reuse the cable in a taller area. I do wish I could order some more slider hooks for the cable in the store. I have a set of 3 lightweight pieces that I’d like to hang on a single cable and rail hook, but there are no replacement or additional hooks from this brand in the store and I’m not sure if all slider hooks will fit securely on this cable size.

With heavier pieces I recommend two people.
I've never used this sort of device but loved not getting out all the tools, measuring the center of the piece, measuring the drop of the hanging wire or hooks on the piece, figuring drill bit size, anchor size, hook weight specs, weight of art, all of it, but not putting holes in the walls in a rental is the very best! I'm not sure if some of the hooks didn't sit well on the chair rail bc they were a little bent or if the edge of the rail was uneven. But the process of hooking the first side of my fairly heavy piece repeatedly made the chair rail hook jump off the rail leaving me struggling to unhook the picture while supporting a cockeyed heavy art piece with one hand and trying to unhook with the other while awkwardly leaning over a piece of furniture. Multiple times. Two people would make the process much easier. I was too impatient to wait for my very busy daughter to come over to help. So it isn't impossible for one old lady to accomplish. Also, it'd be nice to have extra hooks on the cable in order to hang several pieces from one hanger. So if that's your plan order accordingly.

I like to hang decorated garland over our big front window. It keeps breakable ornaments out of my cat's reach. But command hooks would always damage the paint, and I had to use at least six of them to support the weight of the garland. Our wall isn't completely straight, so there's a tiny gap between the window trim and the wall at the top. I stuck these hooks in the gap so I could hang my garland without damaging the paint. The hooks are very strong, and our trim is firmly attached, so I only need 5 hooks and I can add as many ornaments and lights as I want. Perfect!

I bought another kit that came with hooks, wire, and adjustable hooks; all in steel. These white hooks look much better against my white picture rail. The price of these is so good, my labour would be more expensive if I repainted my existing steel hooks myself.

Obviously if you're hanging a picture you need something to hang it from. usually for a light picture in frame some sticky velco like systems work well or you can drill a hole and put in a screw or other fixing. We have a section of wall which has some feature wall paper which we didn't want to make holes into or risk damage so we opted for these hangers. They are a variation of the classic picture hanging system of a wire dropped from a fixing. The only caveat is that you do need to have a dado rail or securely fixed moulding to hang them from. Unlike a screw fixing you can move the mounts laterally to be exactly where you want the picture to be positioned and you can move them up and down on the fixing wire. The top hooks are quite 'generic' and fit a variety of mouldings. The wires, which are going to be good for quite a large weight of picture are surprisingly unobtrusive. Note that you get six of each component so also only six of the hooks that fix to the frames fittings, as this kind of hanger lends itself to a string of pictures this is a litte limiting. That is for heavier frames you'd use two of the hangers, stack two frames in cascade and you've used most of the supplied parts. A few more of these parts would have been extremely useful and increased the utility. Otherwise nice priced solution.
