I've been taking this Balance Breens 500 mg Citrus Bergamot supplement for over a month and I'm very pleased. I take it every morning with my breakfast for its cardiovascular benefits and also because it helps maintain blood glucose levels, keeping them within normal range (with proper diet and exercise, of course).I love the taste of Citrus Bergamot, but other than in tea , it would be very difficult to consume the equivalent of 500 mg per day. The capsules are on the smaller side, easy to swallow, tasteless and odorless, and have no side effects (at least for me). Manufactured in the USA, lab tested.

.I'm more interested in antioxidants these days...USA made is very important to me and all that entails. If vegan is important to you, look no further.The extract comes from a very fragrant (maybe better to say pungent) fruit. I would like to call this "super C" ... This ingredient is found in perfumes and teas like Earl Grey. BUT - it would be a HUGE jug of tea to get what there is in one dose of this supplement.Bravo!

Citrus bergamot is touted to help reduce inflammation. I've not noticed a significant amount of inflammation reduction, but I also have chronic inflammation as a result of heavy-lifting, and not so much holistic inflammation caused by other issues. So don't expect a miracle supplement!On the question of lowering blood glucose levels -- I really don't know. I've not had my glucose levels tested regularly enough to know if this "works."What I am most interested in, long term, is the potential for citrus bergamot to help prevent cardiovascular disease, including reducing "bad" cholesterol and increasing the "good" stuff. Will this make an effete heart function properly? I doubt it. But could it help give a healthy heart a little bit of longevity with long-term use? I hope so.In short, you have to dig into the research to determine if citrus bergamot is right for you. These are long-term health benefits, so even if they "work," they are nothing you are going to register subjectively. In this case, this bottle of citrus bergamot is nicely colored, easy to swallow, and doesn't leave any bad taste or anything. Seems to be decent-enough stuff!

They are easy to swallow. No taste really, you do get a hint of citrus but it’s not overpowering.. No after taste which is perfect. Average sized pills. I take these at night and it helps me relax. I’ve noticed with the citrus I don’t crave that first juice drink in the morning. Not sure if it’s the change of season or this pill but since I’ve been taking them at night, I feel more energized in the morning. Either way I’m going to continue to take theses at night. Highly satisfied

From my wife: Our doctor has had us on bergamot for some time for blood sugar and cholesterol support. We feel it's helping in conjunction with the rest of our supplements, so we continue to take it. This brand is pure enough for us - I need gluten and dairy free supplements though my husband doesn't. This product is gluten free and it says it's vegan, so I'm assuming it's dairy free although it's not explicitly saying that. The price is very reasonable for this supplement, so we're happy with it.
