Classic Pour Over
ZERO JAPAN Dripper is second purchase. First one (different name Bee House) purchased 2015. Made a two station pour over stand and this dripper same as first one. Very well designed and made. Open sides at base makes viewing coffee level easy to see. Flow rate very good. The design is easy to use and clean. #2 and #4 filters readily available at grocery store. Highly recommend for new or experienced users. ZERO JAPAN Dripper is fun and makes great pour over coffee.

good quality. excellent price
I am trying pour over coffee as an alternative for a French press. I find pour over is less bitter and it's supposedly removes a substance that can raise cholesterol. Use this every day. Very pleased!!

Simplicity Meets Quality
Let me start by addressing the numerous negative comments about "weak coffee." If you get weak coffee from a pour-over dripper, the problem is not the dripper, it's the "drippie." Yes, in other words, user error. The pour-over process requires patience, and there is an art to it. You cannot just dump all of the water in at once and expect good coffee. Variations of the recommended methods are all over the Internet, and even passed along in many coffee-related product reviews here on Amazon -- so I won't spend a lot of words describing mine. In general, I wet the grounds slightly, then gradually drip the hot water into the filter. (If you doubt my method, just observe the way electric coffee makers work. They don't suck all of the water in at once!) Of course, it's also important to make sure the filter contains enough coffee -- my local coffee shop/roaster recommends 2 tbs of medium grind coffee per cup, and that has worked well for me.Okay, on to the product review: The Bee House Ceramic Coffee Dripper is a practical, elegant solution for making an individual cup of coffee to go. My #1 requirement for coffee making equipment is NO PLASTIC. There is enough research out there to suggest that boiling hot water causes harmful chemicals to leach out of plastic materials. Unfortunately, even many of the high-end "stainless steel" coffee makers use plastic for the plumbing and other internal pieces/parts. The "plastic-less" construction, and utter simplicity of ceramic drippers appeals to me.I use Melitta #2 filters with my Bee House dripper, and the coffee definitely on par with that made with my Chemex pour-over system. The curved handle is a great feature. It allows you to easily set the dripper on your cup, and remove it when you're done. The Bee House product is solid, and well made. However, this is both a blessing and a curse. The weight of this dripper tends to make your coffee mug somewhat top-heavy. And you have to be careful to make sure the guides on the bottom surface are inside the rim of the mug, otherwise the dripper feels tippy. I haven't had any accidents yet, but there have been some close calls. So, while I love this product, I think pour-over coffee is more about the process than the equipment. You can probably get the same excellent results from a less expensive ceramic dripper. If I end up breaking my Bee House dripper, I may very well go for something else that costs less money.

Works Great!
I use this little coffeemaker every morning. It is actually big enough to make coffee for four servings, if I use a wide-mouth quart jar as the receiver instead of my personal coffee mug. I typically make 12oz of coffee at a time for myself. It doesn't really take longer than the electric drip maker I used to use; It's just a scheduling issue. I start heating water in the teakettle while I do a couple of other things, pour 4oz of boiling water on two scoops of grounds, do a few other things in the kitchen, pour 8oz of water of boiling water on the now moistened grounds and wait a short time while it drips through. The coffee is great (no hot plastic taste)and cleanup is simple. I use cheap basket filters instead of cone filters, and they work fine for me.

Even the "Large" is Small
Measure your mugs carefully. This dripper, even though labeled "large," requires a mug no wider than 3.25 inches.I have a bunch of Starbucks mugs, like the "Venti" ceramic mugs and a collection of their 16oz City Scenes mugs, that are all too wide to use with this dripper. I expect that most large-capacity mugs will be too large. This does reduce the versatility of this dripper considerably, IMO. It does make fine coffee, if no better than other drippers, and I've kept it because I have travel mugs that it fits better than my usual dripper. But do measure your favorite mugs, and make no assumptions based on the word "large." It's not large.

Expensive, but makes coffee faster and no microplastics
I read a review in the NY Times and they rated it as the top pour over coffee cup. It has two holes in the bottom so it makes the coffee faster and surprisingly it is stronger than the slower plastic ones I have been using that eventually begin to leak. This is ceramic, so no concern about microplastics from years of drinking pour over coffee. The only problem is it fits perfectly over a standard mug coffee cup, but for a larger mug it is a little less steady. I've had it for a month and no problems. The only issue is if you have a tile kitchen floor, if it drops it might break.

Too small
I expected it to be larger than the normal ceramic dripprs that are advertised as it was described as a two cupIf it had been the size of my old two cup plastic dripper I would be happy with itt and would not think it overpriced
