Completes my Black Rapid ensemble.
I have been using Black Rapid neck straps for years, but really needed their wrist strap to make life easier.

Everyone should have this
Like many have already posted this is a great accessory to have. Adds a lot of confidence that the camera is safe. Just need to periodically check to make sure it is snug when screwed onto the tripod thread. I have a QD swivel that is really secure as long as you use a bracket

Arguably the most valuable camera accessory i own
The media could not be loaded. This blackrapid wrist strap I believe is the most valuable camera accessory i own to date. It may also be the most underrated camera accessory. It's not the most expensive accessory I own but the value it has provided to me is immense. I had the chance to think about it for this video.-lessen my worries of dropping and destroying my investment.-made me take out my camera more to practice my craft.-allowed me to focus more on what matters the most.-i am able to handle the camera loosely (with the tip of my fingers)-the ability to hang even a heavy camera on my wrist is a plusIf i can think of a con here it's probably because i become complacent and let the camera swing on the strap and hit something. A table, wall or something. That would be terrible.

works great, but feels like overpriced.
the design is ok. the lug seems tight and built well. but I'm not sure if it is worth $40. I wish the strap is made from thicker or nicer fabric instead.

Solid strap. Worth the price.
Another BlackRapid wrist strap to add to the family. It turns out that you can't have just one, if there are multiple camera users in the family. The only way to keep familial strife at bay is to buy another one, and another one, until everyone has one.Are these the cheapest strap you will buy? No. Not even close. But you also won't be reading about strap failure and cracked lenses either. Works great for carrying around my D7200 and 18-200 lens all day. No speedlite though ;-)I do like the most recent updates on this strap, namely the new carabiner connector, and the fact that it comes with the locking clip. Also, the new camera tripod mount point is an improvement. I still wish the strap had BlackRapid printed on it like the older model, but I can live without it.

Perfect for action cameras!
I've been using this as a tether for my Insta360 on a selfie stick (threaded into the bottom) while snowboarding to prevent losing/dropping it and it has worked out perfectly. It is super sturdy and if I let the camera/stick dangle from my wrist there's no concern of it breaking, coming loose, or getting lost. Exactly what I needed!

The Camera Safety TetheR strap is a step backwards
My recommendation is buy the BlackRapid camera strap as stand-alone product and sort out a different safety strap. The wrist strap is a great product and consistent with the outstanding BlackRapid straps I use on my much heavier SLR's. The strap is comfortable on my wrist, easily carries the weight of my little digital camera, and the carabiner with the new locking mechanism is a great addition. The changes to the safety strap are a different story. The now closed loop safety strap requires that it be threaded through the provided triangle fastener (which proved impossible for me), and the provided carabiner is flimsy and there is no mechanism to lock it closed.

Must have!
I bought this strap because a buddy of mine had one with his older Canon DSLR. When I recently purchased a Sony A7III, I immediately asked him for the brand of his strap. This strap is build extremely well and the fastener screws directly into the bottom of the camera to ensure there is no way the camera can fall off your wrist. It's also super easy to adjust for your wrist size, so when you're out shooting you can have it nice, tight, and secure while also being a quick adjustment away from taking it off your wrist and throwing the camera back into your bag.
