We've done many of the Escape Room games and this was the worst. We're experienced by were stymied. The explanations weren't good. You need manual dexterity to put things together and one component caused great frustration just to put it together, much less figure out the clue. The Chrono Decoder didn't accept the first clue even though it was right, which we only knew because we gave up and looked on the website where we discovered it was right. Fortunately, we had another one, but had to start all over again which really didn't work. Be aware you'll need a flashlight and a dark room. You'll also be split into two groups. Very disappointed in this one.

Box was open. Very disappointing. Bought three different expansion packs and all were open. Returned all three.

It's hard to describe Tomb Robbers. I felt that it was an engaging game, but it fell short of what I would consider fun. I don't know, maybe it was the unrealistic solutions (meaning the method to derive them is unrealistic, not that there's no logical connection). Or maybe it's the fact that there were technical errors in the game itself. Or maybe it's the overdone theme. Or maybe that the designers decided to split the players into two groups yet again. Or maybe because at least a couple of the clues, while technically correct (as in I can see where they were going with them), weren't presented in a user-friendly manner. Or maybe even because the main component that you construct during the game didn't fit together too well. Or any of a number of other "little things". In any case, the game wasn't bad--I didn't dislike it--but the playing experience didn't seem to be all that it could be. Like I said, it was engaging, but it's not the kind of experience you're going to look back on and say, "Remember playing Tomb Robbers? That was a really fun time." 3.5 stars.Disclosure: You will not see "Verified Purchase" on this review. My wife bought the game (on Amazon) and gave it to me for a present.

need a flashlight and clear duct tape to play

We have played almost all of the expansion packs and boxed sets of these games and enjoyed almost all of them. This is the first time we ran into this problem. The part 2 code didn't register as correct on the chrono decoder. We went to the online walkthrough thinking we did something wrong. Had the right answer and tried again. Still said wrong. Started the whole game over following the walkthrough online. Entered code to part 1. Entered code to part 2. Bam. Still wrong. We could never progress to part 3 and finish the game. I am returning this as defective. Do not buy this expansion pack. It is severely flawed. Take it from experienced players.

A well done escape room game to be enjoyed from home!

Advertised in English but actually in Dutch. And to make things worse, the vendor didn't even pay for it to be shipped back!
