You’re on your own
This $35 product fit my acrylic board nicely. Spalding Support had no idea how far to place the fixed bracket on a wall above the ground . I was told to put the bottom of bracket 10 feet off the ground. That’s totally wrong in relation to the rim. I spoke with another rep who said put the bracket 106 inches from the ground. Again, totally wrong unless you want your rim fixed at around 8 feet. I put the rim, backboard and bracket together on the floor. Tighten it all up and did some measuring. By measuring the distance from the rim and the bottom of the bracket, on the other side of the board, you’ll find 3 1/4 inches lower than a 10 ft rim is where the bottom of the bracket should be placed. Not real easy. Confused? So, The bottom of the bracket mounted on the wall has to be at 9 feet 8 and 3/4 inches. Using these numbers The rim will be 10 feet from the ground, perfect. Spalding Support will give you a lot of info if you purchase the $230 adjustable bracket. Hope they read this to help their customers. Love my acrylic 52” board.

Flimsy
Not sturdy at all; don't waste your money. Used it to attach a Spalding 54” goal to our brick garage. As soon as a neighborhood kid tried dunking (without our consent), the bracket lost all tension. The goal was then loose, lop-sided and uneven. It was impossible to straighten it afterwards, and the backboard kept shaking whenever the ball made contact with it. I eventually replaced the Spalding bracket with four metal brackets from Home Depot (Kindorf 3-Hole 90° Angle Bracket Galv-Krom). What a difference! Now, the backboard is sturdy--no vibration whatsoever--and withstands any and all intentional (and unwelcomed) play, including dunks. Go with the simple metal brackets and save yourself the aggravation of a flimsy product.

You still have to think
This is a set of general parts that will serve any variety if mounting, so you’re going to have parts left over. I scrapped the plan and used these parts plus parts included with the goal. It is sturdy.

Excellent Bracket
Surpassed my expectations for ease of use and functionality. Highly recommend this to anyone out there needing a solid bracket to practice their jumper. Stay focused and lock in on that jumper baby…!!!

you get what you pay for
not the worst product. it can do what it says. but some configurations don't line up with laser precision. some holes, arms, brackets, may have to be finessed. pole mounting isn't the strongest. it will hold your goal on the pole but i wish the bracket itself was beefier. product does work and i do not regret the purchase. if i had to do again i would maybe try something more heavy duty or with less moving parts.

Well made bracket
This bracket is sturdy, well made, a good bracket. But it is NOT universal. We had to make major adaptations for it to work for a "Lifetime" backboard. It was difficult to make it fit.
