Best Ocarina I've ever owned
I've had about 10 ocarinas so far ranging from $20/piece to more than $200/piece. This one is by far the best I've ever had. It feels good in hand, very well made. Best of all, the pitch is perfectly accurate and the sound is beautiful. My other ocarinas are good best cannot match with the sound and pitch with this one. I agree with another review that if this is your first ocarina, do not get this one because the grooves on the body are distractive and sometimes even misleading. However, if you're experienced and would like a solid and great ocarina, this is the one!! I highly recommend the product.

High reccomndation
It's a bit heavy for an ocarina, but it's not noticeably affected the sound, very fun to use and I would reccomend it

Gorgeous, but don't make this your first ocarina
Gorgeous ocarina. Lovely design. However, I would not recommend this one for beginners. I am an experienced musician, and found the artistic grooves very troubling to work around, although after a few weeks I am better. The left hand sub-hole is exactly on a decorative groove. This makes playing the low A near impossible. After three weeks I still cannot get it reliably, BUT I am getting better overall. I have faith I'll finally figure it out. Different problem with the right hand. The groove constantly fakes my pinky into thinking it is over the hole. I am better now at remembering to ignore the groove, but I still get faked out from time to time. This is why I feel a beginning student, especially a young student, may find this particular ocarina frustrating to play. Don't make this ocarina your first one as I did. Start with a cheaper, plastic model, then invest. I also find this ocarina to be about 25¢ too sharp when played to a tuner. Still…it's a lovely ocarina. Sounds beautiful. I only ever so slightly regret my purchase.

Favorite piece
First non-plastic ocarina and now I have a mini-collection. I felt like this was out of stock for a long time so seeing them back in stock was nice. I ordered a back up in case I break my original. I like this water design better than a few others they have hence why I ordered a back up just in case.

Lovely
It sounds beautiful, which is why I wanted it (the beautiful appearance also helped). I knew what I was getting into when I chose this ocarina, so the low A subhole being on a ripple line did not bother me (honestly, it is not difficult for me to cover; but everyone has different hands/fingers). The only thing that lowered the rating was the breath pressure drop on that subhole. Because you blow much more softly on that one note, the sound is much quieter than the preceding notes. It is not the most practical for playing in the middle of a song (rather awkward sounding); yet, I am quite happy to ignore that hole and use it as an eleven-hole ocarina.I would be willing to get this ocarina again if the one that I have broke, just for the sound, the ergonomics, and for the pleasure it brings me playing it. It is adequate for much of the music that I play (hymns/spiritual/folk). It is not a quiet instrument (played in tune); it is a diva that will be heard! Consider that if you are looking into this ocarina. It is strong and melodious. Also, some find it to be heavy for a Tenor (alto) C. It was my first ocarina, so I figured it would be fine if I had nothing to compare it to. I have no problems playing it for extended amounts of time. The weight is balanced well. It feels substantial to me without being heavy or burdensome. Even after using lighter tenor/alto c ocarinas (plastic), the weight does not bother me.
