Definitely keeps my Dog safe
I use this mainly in the summer when I drive my Jeep with doors and roof off. I feel secure knowing it keeps my dog in his place and he won't roll out or jump out. He's pretty well behaved but you never know. It is very sturdy and I trust it will keep him secure. It is long enough so that he has room to get up and walk to the other side of the backseat with no issues and he does not get tangled up in the cord. He cannot jump in the back. For reference I have a 2.5 year old 80 lb Husky Boy. Highly recommend!

This sturdy. She chewed through a woven one we had previously but she doesn't touch this. It keeps her in the back seat so we can drive safely.

Save your dog
I see people every day driving with their dog roaming around the back and front seat of their vehicle. Folks, if you have an accident, your dog may not survive unless it is 'buckled' in. This device is so easy to use. It clips onto the metal ring that a child seat clips onto (stick your hand down in between the back and seat) then you clip it onto your dog's collar or harness. This keeps them from flying off the seat should you have to stop fast or worse, jumping out the window of your vehicle while it is moving. My 50 lb. lab/pit mix doesn't mind being buckled in....she can still put her head out the window or sit in the middle of the back seat and look out the front. It is basically indestructible.

Leash Boss dog seat belt restraint
Fairly easy to set up and use. Can't say it has been tested in a crash. However, the restraint has been used in two vehicles, once on a week-long trip and is well tolerated by my 25 pound dog. The spring-loaded clip that attaches to the restraint dog vest could have a larger inside diameter. The small inside clip size makes it difficult to cram the webbing 'tail' of the vest completely inside the clip. Overall, I believe the choices I made are the most functional available. The short leash boss restraint lead is the most practical, avoiding issues with a dog destroying a seat belt webbing or the restraint itself. I chose a short length to avoid the dog leaving the seat in a crash (watch the crash test dummy YouTube videos to see why this is important), and this short lead has worked very well in that regard, without causing the dog to fret and pull at the restraint. Oddly well tolerated (can't predict this would be the case for every dog).

Well made. Works perfectly.
Purchased this seat belt restraint for Daisy, our 60lb. one year old Labrador Retriever. Daisy loves to go to the park and play fetch, in fact, she loves it so much that she barks the whole way there and is constantly trying to get in your lap as we are driving. We had originally purchased a different seat belt that clipped directly into the car seat belt mechanism and had elastic in the restraint so it could stretch. Daisy is a powerhouse who could easily stretch the elastic so far that she could reach the front seat and would eventually pull hard enough to unlatch the seat belt completely. This restraint has worked perfectly. No longer can she stretch the restraint since it is made of vinyl covered steel rope. The device locks securely to the latch bar above the rear seat. The locking clip is very sturdy and secure so there is no way that she can pull the restraint out of the latch bar. This is an amazing product which helps to keep both her and us safe while driving in the car.

With use of a harness not a collar!
It's my dogs personalized swat belt! Easily attached this to my existing seat belt strap, then onto my dogs harness, instant protection against him being tossed about by a sudden stop. That said, I wouldn't advise using this with a dog collar as said sudden stop might well result in neck damage, a chocking incident or worse. But used with a harness, it works beautifully.

Awesome Clip In, Clip Out. To Be Used With a Harness to Protect Your Dog and To Protect Yourself From Crazy Dog While Driving.
Awesome. What a great idea. This works great with my Cymas Pet Seat Cover (purchased on Amazon). I recently purchased a new Honda Pilot and want to restrain my dog to the rear seat. We had a minivan which was easier to load her, but then she had too much space and someone would have to go back with her to restrain her.Now she jumps in and I clip her Easy Walk harness to this leash that I keep installed in the rear seat. I purchased the 31" and she can stand up, lay down, but can not leap over the seat back. I was going to purchase a short leash for this purpose but this is way better. My dog is a female german shepard / lab mix 65 lbs, so the smaller end of large dog size. This keeps her safely restrained in the car. To get out I keep her walking leash connected to the harness and can just reach in and unclip this seat belt restraint and take her and go. We used to use a dog seat belt restraint vest harness that you have to thread the seat belt through when she was a puppy, but someone would have to put that on and climb into the back and belt it in, several minutes of agony.I do recommend that Leashboss emphasizes clearly that dog's are not safe to be clipped to their collar, they must be connected to a harness. In a serious accident I would guess that a dog restrained by collar would sustain serious if not fatal neck injury, and an unrestrained dog is just like an unrestrained child - a projectile.
