Finger Snaps
I stan a powerful queen! Listen, you making the (r)apey deity part of the small peen community is ganache on top of a deliciously decadent dessert. I know it’s a spoiler but I’m still laughing. Now I’m on to the last book. I am hungry for the epilogue on that one. I’m also hoping that a certain gatekeeper deity may end up with a repressed water goddess. Here’s to my HEA! Y’all go read all of her books! Allum!

Getting better
I love the first book and this one is getting better and better but I absolutely cannot wait to read Abra’s story!! There were several mistakes in the book that I noted I don’t know if they were simply typos or if the author mixed up the characters or self but something that I think should have been caught by someone and corrected. I love the story though love the concept and love Nikki Clarke

I love this series.
I love this series. Jinx is the first book by this author I read. And I loved it. Finding black gods in stories is finally starting to hit the shelves more often but they are still few and far between. Especially now that orishas seem to be trending. I love that this book 1. Had orishas from isese but 2 also had other god from other atrs. And 3 had other gods from other cultures as background characters. I say that because often times the black characters can sometimes be pushed to the back in their own books. The way "mun" and his sister were introduced in the first book and carried into this book I loved it. I also love how each god is expressed in their peoples personality along with their individual tramua as well. This may be a spoiler but if you could literally give a snake a personality as a god in a body, what would that manifest to be? It's like you can see it now that I got you thinking about it. That's how the author does the gods and orisha in her books. Now I will say I am not the spellcheck patrol by any means. I fall victim to autocorrect like anyone else. But there are some times where the editor of the book should've double checked again. Not so many mistakes it makes you stop reading but enough that you do catch yourself rereading a sentence to make sure it's an error and you didnt misread. But overall I am in love with this series. I have slowly started to go through her other works while lurking in the shadows for her to finish this one.

Good read
I was excited for Lure’s book. He was a supreme god and very chill. He was the leader. I wanted to see what him being in the presence of his riser would bring out of him. I was pleasantly surprised by his dominance. I knew he’d be caring and loving tho.Sparkle was inhabited by goddess who was a supreme mother, loved attention and being cared for and pampered. However she was linked to a woman who was scarred by the trauma of false love for gain and then being kidnapped. She was not the most trusting person. She believed that all male gods were out for one thing - renewal and by any means necessary since it is what caused her trauma. Seeing her be with Lure in the past and present was very different and she fought hard against their relationship.I have to say that I enjoyed the book, however the ending left a lot of questions that I’m sure will be answered in Abra’s book. I just wish I had a bit more time added to the ending of the book instead of directly after the show down. Like 2 weeks later and everything has died down. But that’s my preference.Still a really good read though.

When you have Celestial BDE
Lol sorry I couldn’t help it. I enjoyed every moment of this book. Lure is absolutely decadent. I loved the relationship building in this one. I loved the way lure realizes his power. The way this brings to light the duality of the relationship and power between men and women. There are some really awesome subliminal messages in this book. Then you add in a little dirty talk, a little D/s action, a some cheeky humor and you have all the reasons I love this book. I think Abra is going to be really good and I was more excited to read it than I was this one but. I should have known better. Nikki never disappoints!

better and better!
Lure’s story was a good one! Like REALLY GOOD! I absolutely adore how the woman in these books are known by the (awakened) gods to have all the real power! The women are respected and honored and just plain ol loved! Then let’s talk about how Lure was dealing with his god disappearing on him…I was soooo frustrated every time i felt his god was leaving him hanging. But my goodness, everything has a reason doesn’t it. And Clarke certainly showed us the reason in that ending. I cannot wait to dive into book 3

I enjoyed this book once...
.....I got passed the plethora of sex scene...in-between those constant distractions I truly enjoyed it. Wish there was a little more action to even out the sex scenes.
