Hi-TecMen's Trail Destroyer Walking Shoe

Well made, durable and a great fit.

These are so comfortable and light, and fit really well that I've bought a second pair (different colour). Perhaps the only down side is that they're not sold as waterproof but I've given them a waterproofing spray and will hope for the best. I'm using them generally for hard ground anyway (e.g. NT paths) and have other walking boots for muddy/wet walks. But for general, easy walks, they're excellent.

I bought these mainly because I've had good experiences with Hi-Tec footwear previously.I was looking for a lightweight, very comfortable shoe for all day wear incorporating a couple of miles walking to and from work.I have flat feet and rheumatoid arthritis related conditions, so I struggle with foot comfort.I've found these to be spot-on size-wise, lightweight and very comfortable. I did replace the standard, thin but not uncomfortable, insoles with an orthotic type.My only reservation is that, on slick surfaces - metal grids in the rain for example, they do slip noticeably.This is surprising as the sole is rubber and has plenty of blocks and cuts.

Stupidly I did not read the reviews. The first time I wore them was in the rain in New York. They let the water in and i slipped in Time Square. I have slips again on a wet metal surface. I live in Wales we’re it is wet often. So a total waste of money.
