The scanner is fantastic in all sense and appears to be designed to do heavy duty. The only minor discomfort I could notice is that it is having an external power supply unit (like laptops) which you have to carry during move....

After reading reviews about this scanner (ScanSnap iX1600 Wireless) I pulled the trigger - it came and after a short setup (including a pretty large app download, 1.4G) I am very pleased with it.I'm scanning photos and some documents - This ScanSnap iX1600 is doing great. It's quick - open the top and it's ready to go under a minute. Clear user interface on the scanner, and paper handling is very good. I have everything from 2x3 up to almost full page photos, and even when they're all in a stack they scan correctly.One of the best features is duplex scanning - you can scan the front and back of a page at the same time! Easy to set up as default, and also easy to choose it on the fly if you've got no-duplex as the default. Scanning time is very quick too - with options for auto-correct for red-eye, and color enhance.The thing that impresses me the most is that it does what its supposed to do and does it quickly, easily, quietly and without any tech headache or extended setup.I'm using this with a new PC-based computer with Win11, AMD Ryzen 9 processor and 32G RAM. It also worked fine with another PC with a N100 processor (slow) and 8G RAM. Very happy, I'd highly recommend this scanner for photos and docs. It won't scan slides or negatives but photos are great!

Scanner is simple enough and set-up was also easy with or without cable. I use a Mac and had to buy the usc-c to usb-b cable with is not common. It only comes with usb -A to usb-B cable.Other than that, it's rare to find an item that is simple to set-up. It scans, it does it well, and no hassles so far. Price is on the high end for sure though.

I had 4 Fujitsu S500 & 1500 scanners at my business for more than a decade. Fujitsu makes the best scanners hands down. I personally used the S500 Scansnap software for my personal use and loved it. But with age the papers jammed more and more so I purchased a Canon R30 to replace my home scanner. Big mistake....So determined to go back to Fujitsu, I purchased this IX1600 and it's an amazing upgrade to the Fujitsu legacy. The Scansnap software is beyond amazing and even more flexible. The IX1600 wireless scanner capability easily connects to your network and the setup is seamless . It's also so much faster.. Additionally, the mobile app is fantastic.Tip: It also includes a licensed copy of Kofax PDF editor.. You don't need a $200 subscription from Adobe to edit PDF's. ( license key is in all the warranty papers, easy to toss by mistake)No better bang for the buck , you'll love it ...

Es mi primer escáner de esta marca, eh usado otros de la misma marca pero ya modelos pasados, pero su versatilidad en su programa para escanear en muy sencillo de aprender, anteriormente escaneaba con mi impresora, gran cambio con este equipo, ahorras mucho tiempo.
