The media could not be loaded.  We were throwing my niece a "glow party" and didn't know much about UV or glow in the dark parties. After viewing the info + reviews on these we pulled the trigger and couldn't be happier with the selection. With 2 cannons [and two small blacklights], we were able to illuminate an entire hall with about 70+ people. Amazon has some other cool accoutrements like blacklight tape, balloons, streamers, part favors etc... But make sure to check out the reviews and remember - just because it's "neon colored/looking" that doesn't mean much... Especially with paint.Btw, been to a couple of bigger production events after we threw this party and saw these exact same units. Seems like the proof is in the pudding.

As others have commented, this appears to be a retrofit of an existing RGB fixture with UV LEDs. As such, the preset "programs" and the remote are of limited utility. However, the provided documentation is updated to correctly reflect the UV configuration, and I was easily able to build a working fixture definition in my DMX lighting control platform. Intensity and strobe functions work just fine, and the fixtures work beautifully as part of a multi-instrument DMX network.For people looking to use them as standalone lights - I suspect that the "color," "program," etc. options on the remote, as well as the mode options accessible through the buttons on the back might be confusing. However, if you're not afraid of playing around, you should be able to get them working.Actual blacklight effect is great - brightness/throw isn't spectacular, but it's actually slightly better than what I expected at this price point.

The good: This light produces an amazing amount of black light and worked almost perfectly for my purposes.The bad: I bought two of these sets and one light didn't receive messages from either remote. For my purposes, I just needed the lights to stay on. While it would have been nice to be able to turn on and off with the remote, this wasn't a major concern for me.And proof that my brain wasn't working at the time: I used this for a classroom glow in the dark fall festival game. At first I set up the two lights I purchased to be shining down and this crossed eye level. After discovering the beginnings of a migraine and seeing dots, I moved the lights to more of an overhead location. These lights are extremely bright in comparison to normal bar style black lights. I recommend you learn from my mistakes and set these up to shine down instead of directly though line of sight.Overall: I not only recommend these lights; I plan to buy more in the next year. Losing the ability to control the functions of the one light didn't affect my ability to use and enjoy these lights.

First, I did not receive the remote. The package *did* have the instructions for the remote and a battery for the remote, but the remote was missing.Second, these lights seemed a bit dim, based on the advertised brightness. They are advertised as 36 LEDs x 3 watts, which is, in fact, 108 watts, however, they have a stated wattage of 72 watts, which is actually 2 watts per LED.I would be happy with that, but when I put a multimeter in line with the unit when it was on steadily at full brightness, it showed the unit was drawing between 0.2 and 0.3 amps at 110 volts AC. Giving the benefit of the doubt, and using 0.3 amps, that only gives a total power draw of 33 watts, not 72 watts. Even if the controller used no power (not possible) and the LEDs were 100% efficient (also not possible), this is not even half the rated power.I fear this is yet another Chinese company exaggerating the specifications of their product. Buyer beware.
