Got this to remove algae on glass aquarium. Scrubbing was not working. Razor made quick work of it. Definitely recommend. Package was late getting here but worth the wait.

I bought this because it used the razor blades I had so I thought it would be nice to not have to buy new razors. Item worked OK, but the plastic poles are really flimsy, any press, it bends like a straw. This item is great if you have like a 10-15 gallon tank, any larger, I would get something else.

The handle is not very strong. It would work for a shallow (not very deep) aquarium. Needs pressure on the blade and on deep aquariums it doesn’t work well.

Since I have NOT been able to find "standard" razor blades for my very old fish tank scraper, I tried this. It WORKS. You need to be very careful assembling the blade because of the schlock design. ALSO, the rod, itself, is in two pieces and is VERY FLIMSY.

The coupler broke the first time I used the extension. Probably fine on a small tank without the extension but the included coupler is cheap and won't take the force applied when scraping glass. I glued it together but now it's just stuck being long and I can't access tight spots in smaller tanks.

At first I was upset (it wasn't the name brand that I thought I ordered), but I decided to give it a try. It worked great! I need to pay better attention in the future, since I still need the other handle... but this scraper will see lots of use :-)

Works great without the extension. With the extension it bends before it scrapes the algae off the glass(thin layer).

A little flimsy with the extension

Misleading calling it an Alloy Aquarium Scraper as except for the blade and retaining screw it is nothing but cheap plastic.
