Fitted perfectly into a 10 year old John Lewis BBQ

I replaced my original heat plates as they were completely rusted and had more holes in them than, well, something really holy! The original heat plates were 12 years old and had seen a lot of action; hundreds of sausages, copious burgers, kebabs, steaks, even beer can chicken. That’s right folks, they’d had a good life so it was time they went into retirement with full honours.I purchased these bad boys on a Friday afternoon and they landed on my door mat on Saturday morning. BOOM! They were the exact size I needed and they fit perfectly. Unfortunately i didn’t take any pictures of the installation (mainly because I didn’t have enough hands… I’ve since ordered a spare pair from Amazon and I will review those separately). I’ve had a whole summers worth of bbqs and they’ve seen the underside of many a sausage, burger, kebab and even corn on the cob! They’ve got me out of many a jam already and we’ve laughed at a few near misses with kamikaze chipolatas! The only downside is that they’re not WIFI compatible or ‘smart’ in anyway shape or form so they can only operate manually. I was hoping that they would be WIFI compatible so that I could brag to my friends about it, but I don’t have many friends anyway so not a major deal breaker. I’d say if you’re looking for bbq heat plates and they’re the size you’re needing, they’ll be fine to buy!

The heat shield is a better quality than the OEM The metal is 18 gauge instead of 20 or 22 gauge. The heat shield fit perfectly without any modifications. The heat is distributed more evenly because the heat shield is wider and taller than the OEM. I installed the heat shield on a brand new Master cook grill and replaced the original OEM immediately I noticed the stainless steel burner works much better with the new heat shield If you purchase these heat shield you will not be disappointed.

These were not an exact fit for my Cuisinart grill, but they were close enough to try them out. They fit well and work well. My old ones disintegrated over the winter after a couple of years of use. If they last a decent amount of time, I will buy these again.

Such a nice upgrade from the factory ones that come on the grill.

As others have noted, it would be optimal if the manufacturer made a version of these that were just a little longer at the same price point. They are 14 5/8" long and the originals are 14 7/8." I knew that when making the purchase. They will work, but occasionally fall out of place when grill is moved. Not a big deal, but that's the only downside. They do function just fine when in place. If your originals are 14 5/8" and the same shape, they should be perfect. Much better made than the original equipment on my Master Forge grill, now about 7 years old.
