Skills Practice Manual for LaFleur Brooks' Health Unit Coordinating

I love this book. It has so much information. I especially love the "Take Note" portions. It is worth remembering. The lab book does make you go through the process as if you are in a real hospital setting.

Excellent book but had to return it due to dropping the class. Since it is a textbook I can neither recommend nor not recommend.

This book is worth the money that I spent. I recommend it.....It has everything that you will need and more for a job in the health field as a HUC.

I bought this book for a self- study how to get certified for an HUC course. I am at a loss as to how to get the answers for the manual. It got especially confusing in activity 4-4, where there was an online counterpart with "practice activity software" with no specific directions that related to the activity in the book. I am not too disturbed by this purchase- but I am waiting to hear back from Evolve support line. My rating thus far is stemming from the confusion, and I would change it if it gets addressed. The actual textbook for the course is otherwise very copacetic. Does anyone have any insight on this?

OK so I don't know if it is the schools issue or the book or even maybe just me not understanding but this book sucks! It makes no sense and gives you no direction and I am not learning a thing by doing the exercises. Not to mention the disc won't even work with a 64bit computer seriously who uses a 32bit?? Contacted the manufacturer and they said that there was no disc that would currently run with a 64bit comp. So...for my homework that I am supposed to do I cannot do! Most of the class can't. Then it gives these forms to use and says to do this and that like write in the patients name and the doctors name...yet it doesn't give you a name?? For using the disc it say to look up the patients name in the computer, I don't even know how I would do so since it does not clearly state the name to use. Very frustrated and upset with this book. And of course since I have had to tear some pages out that taught me nothing I cannot even resell this useless thing. The only thing this book is doing is frustrating me and wasting my time.

I needed to find the workbook as a single book. Was very pleased to find this and it was exactly as described. Used in college and this purchase allowed me to purchase the matching textbook used. Saved me money!

This is an excellent supplement to the Health Unit Coordinating textbook.
