I have one like this so I bought this one for a friend. We are both pleased with the product. I've been using mine for about a year, dropping the encased iPad mini into a briefcase or handbag almost daily, and at this point it shows minimal signs of wear. (I've read the reviews indicating that some reviewers find it flimsy - not my experience, at least not given the way I use it.) The one negative is that it isn't sturdy enough to prop the iPad up. I had forgotten about that feature till I reread the description and some of the reviews since, frankly, I never thought of using it that way. So I took off a star. But for my purposes, this case is doing what I wanted it to do. My friend has used hers for 3-4 months and is also pleased. Yes, there are sturdier - and more expensive - cases available. But for my needs - and for the price - this is more than adequate. I'm very happy with it. (I've also reviewed the ShopNY case, which I've also given to friends, and which is sturdier, has more features, and is, of course, more expensive.)

If you are looking for a thin case with auto wake magnets for your iPad Mini, look no further! This case fits perfectly, is very light weight, and has auto wake magnets in it to turn your iPad off and on.The cover folds back into a triangle which supports the mini in an upright position to watch video or to work on. This cover ONLY holds the iPad in the horizontal position (long side) so if you want one that will hold it in the other position, this is not the cover you want.The only issue I had with this is that the cover is a bit stiff and does not fold into the support triangle easily at first. However, after three times of doing it, it folds quite easily now.Since I use the mini iPad mostly for reading, this cover works perfectly for me. It also works well for viewing video. I would highly recommend it if you want a very thin cover that will protect your iPad mini and that provides great features.

Purchased this item a couple of years ago for my iPad mini. It lasted me up until a month ago but probably could have lasted much longer had I not broke my iPad (internal hardware issues). This smart case is very light weight and easy to install. Offers great protection of the screen from scratches. Open and closing the cover made the screen turn off and on without having to press the home button. The folds in the case made it very easy to stand my ipad on its side while watching netflix or playing games. The only issue that I had with this item was the fringes around the outside of the case which i'm sure was just due to wear and tear after 2 years of use. I would definitely purchase from Poetic again when I purchase another iPad soon.

I believe that I had previously reviewed this item, however looking at some recent reviews I felt compelled to once again review the Poetic ThinShell cover again. I've had this cover for several months now. I originally selected it because it seemed to be the lightest, thinnest cover with the wake/sleep function that was available at that time. It still is! I carry my iPad mini in my pocketbook protected by only this case every day. I use itncontinuously throughout the day. With the exception of a few smudge marks this case looks as good as the day I purchased it. It has protected my iPad from several bad falls without a scratch or mechanical problem! The stand feature works even better now than when I first got it. It is very flexible and it seems to work into shape over time. I have purchased several to give as gifts to friends and all have arrived in perfect shape. My friends have really appreciated the ThinShell case. Overall I very strongly recommend this product!

I bought this as a gift and knew it wouldn't be a top of the line case. I had a limited budget for this item and the reviews were overall favorable so I figured what the heck. Unfortunately, after very little use the edge of the case (on the opening side of the cover) has already begun to fray which should not have happened even if this is a cheaper case. I have the iPad 4 Smart Case and will say it is of much better build quality than this case. The folds of the cover do not flex as easily as the smart cover and the back is more of a hard plastic clip design instead of a soft rubber envelope like the smart case. I am confident the case will provide protection for the price paid, I just would like to have seen better build quality on the cover itself. That is inexcusable. The smart case aspect of this (magnet for auto on and off) works as expected.

As described. Puts it to sleep as soon as the cover is closed & wakes it up when it's opened. Wish it was leather but then it would certainly not be as affordable. Vinyl is nice though, as you can just wipe it off, no need to worry about spills or stains. Linning is a soft grey fabric easy on the glass screen. It is a little hard to get it to stand by itself, but I am usually holding it anyway. I would recomend this. For the price you can't go wrong. ( I LOVE the color that I chose.)

I bought three of these cases in different colors (lavender, green and light blue) for the iPad mini. These cases are very slim, covering both the front and back of the iPad, and the non-detachable magnetic cover automatically turns the iPad on/off when opened/closed. I only rated it four stars since the cover of one of the cases is slightly misaligned (not perfectly parallel to the right edge of the iPad) and one of the corners of the iPad would occasionally come out of the case after being snapped in. Overall, a great value for a low price!

I like how secure the iPad is inside this, and how the magnet activates the sleep mode, but I am a little worried about how long it will last. The cover seems like it will eventually start to fray, but I do like it. It doesn't add any significant bulk, and allows me to take my iPad with me. I am still a new owner, so I am a little afraid of people touching it, but this is a pretty decent case for the price.

Product arrived brand new. It was good and my ipad mini looked great with it. But, when I try to stand my ipad mini by folding the front cover, it doesnt stand firm. It slips some times. Its okay product.

this is an excellent case for iPad Mini. It looks and feels great, the interior is soft and protective. Fit is perfect, easy to apply and fits in all the right places! Feels secure and stays in place. I would recommend this case to all.
