Turn on grid/lines in iPad notes and this is better than having a pocketable paper notebook. Today, I drew a sketch I really think may be one of my all time favorites... while standing waiting on my food to microwave.Having a sketchy-rough surface on this super light, easy to take with me device is a dream. The surface is just rough enough that typing with your fingertips for a long time will get a bit raw feeling - it's like an etched glass texture almost.ANTI-GLARE --- I also love to spend time outdoors and I was worried this would make the screen unusable. Shockingly, it actually delivers on the anti-glare. I think it is easier to see because there's no glare (although there is a frosted/matte LCD effect so it isn't perfect in full sun). I was pleasantly surprised.MICROFIBER RENEWS IT --- It does show little marks from the pencil if you draw hard, and picks up little streaks here and there.
