So it's a kettle. Cold water in, hot water out. It has a fancy neon blue LED toggle button at the base for activation, which will automatically flip up when the magic 100 degrees Celsius level is reached. There is a button on top to depress when you wish to open it.Points of note:-Try to avoid passing the max mark, which is a little beneath the spout inside the kettle. If not, water will be dripping ALL over the place, dripping from the base most notably, and, listen carefully for this pro tip: hot water burns.-Even if you need hot water right this instant, give it a couple of seconds to a minute, as the steam (another pro tip) also burns.Pros:-Comes with descaler packets.-Seems durable so far; I've had it for two years and frequently use it, and I've seen no issues to date.Cons:-Not temperature controlled; it's just a simple plug-in, turn-on kettle.

I live in an area with extremely hard water, which means unless I use filtered or purchased water every single time, scale builds up pretty quickly on any device which heats tap water.This unit has an enclosed heating element, which is great for hard water areas. If the heating element isn't enclosed, no matter how well you clean the element, scale will build up on it, and you'll have to be aggressive to remove it - physically hard and using descaling chemicals stronger than just white vinegar. This will shorten the life of your kettle.Another design feature is the wide-mouthed body. It's so much easier to remove build-up if you can actually get your hand inside: this product's design allows even my meaty man claws to fit easily inside to take care of upkeep.Lastly, you don't usually expect a sturdy design for lower costs. This isn't the fanciest of kettles, it won't boost your wifi, and you can't connect via Bluetooth to learn that it has boiled the water. But it'll boil your water every time, it feels like it'll last a while (with regular descaling), and you can hear the click of the switch turning it all off from two rooms away (unless you like in a mansion).

My son bought it for me cause I was always running late preparing myself to go to work. Now I just filled it out with water the night before and as soon as I wake up I just turn it on while I getting ready to go to work. It saves me time I really love it 😍

It arrived on time and well packaged. It works great, I love that it is super easy to clean, and it heats up fast.

The black kettle is of heavy duty material which I like very much. It looks good too. The base with the cord, however, is of cheap plastic and the kettle does not feel stable on it. The on/off key also is of cheap plastic. Not sure how long it will work.

it is a christmas gift

After a bit less than 4 months use the automatic shutoff stopped working. Now the lid hinge broke. Poor quality.
