Besan 4lb

I bought this because my normal brand was out and we didn’t know when or if it would be carried again. I’m glad I made this switch. It is a nice flour non gritty. Some chickpea flour can be very gritty and kinda have a bitter taste to it when not cooked. But this was out of this world! Being a gluten free vegan is not an easy task. But this flour makes it just a little bit easier on me. I can say that I have switched brands!

Good stuff. I ordered this recently and have used it once, for vegan "quiches" and it performed like it should have. The flavor is great. The only thing I regret is that this enormous 4-pound bag can be difficult to manage since it's plastic and stuffed nearly to the brim. Ideally you'd transfer the flour to a large, airtight container once opened.

Expensive but good besan for dishes like “chaat “ and “dam ka qeema “.

Another family member does most of the cooking in my household and this product is great, very satisfactory in all recipes/applications we have used it! Highly recommend. I especially enjoyed it used as recipe substitute for vegan scrambled eggs.

I bough my first bag of besan during the lockdown. I googled how to use it and learned how to make socca flatbread. It became our favorite appetizer. Now I make it almost every week. The flour is clean, fresh and socca made out of it tastes great. I will buy again.

I am thankful that I took the time to figure out that the word "besan" doesn't change the type of chickpea flour that's in the bag because it basically means the same thing so I received a wonderfully tasting chickpea flour that's the best priced on the market! #GraceGardensGroup

The plastic lidded jar in which the powder was shipped was broken open( upside down) when the box which contained it was opened. I managed to salvage some which was still dry on top of the cascade of fine powder stuck to the base of the soggy box. I did not get my money's worth and am now waiting to see if the rescued portion of flour will go moldy.

Everything was as expected. I've been using it to make Ethiopian food and veggie loaves. It's great! The only thing is that the expiration date was less than a month away from the delivery date. I don't mind that, but if that's something you care about, beware.
