Excellent option for the price.
Great for the price. The display looks great. Its semi basic but not dated like some others. It looks crisp and easy to use. The interface runs smooth. I did not connect android auto, this may cause some lagging but I am not certain of this. I hooked it up as just a radio with Bluetooth. The wires were easy to color match. The unit is lightweight, very light in fact, probably because there is no CD drive anymore. All in all its an excellent budget option for your daily. Has lots of eq settings if youre into tuning. Audio sounds great. 10/10 unit.

NICE!
I have a 2000 Buick Regal & I cried once my touchscreen was installed, it made me so happy. It works great, puts out way better sound through my stock speakers, & was fairly simple to install. I didn't even need a switch for the DVD player but you might depending on your car. The only cons I have are that when you touch a button on the screen sometimes you have to hit it a couple times. I wish it was more reactive but for a cheap radio it's not a big deal at all. Second con is the sound goes up to 40 but I can be at 25 & it still sounds quite low. I'm sure better speakers & an amp would help fix this but it's also not a big issue for me. Otherwise I think it's a great radio for the price & it's well worth the money!

Nice stereo
Updating to relay this stereo stopped working after a year. It worked great until then. Will also add that if you pair a smart phone with it ~ so you can listen to music via apps like Prime Music ~ it also means the stereo is paired with your phone for calls. You can't have a private conversation using your phone or bluetooth earpieces. The stereo will play the conversation for whoever is in your vehicle to hear. And I couldn't find a way to unpair the phone from the stereo. I really liked the stereo otherwise. Very nice stereo. This is my third time buying a Boss, and have been happy all three times. The prior model purchased a few years ago had a small glitch in transitioning between screens, but I didn't mind. It perfectly played USB, CD, or DVD. This stereo works perfectly. It even shows the album cover a song came from when playing music from via USB. Haven't tried the "screen mirroring" feature yet (with the stereo showing / mirroring the screen of your smart phone), but everything else works great. Have had Boss double-din stereos installed in three Toyota vehicles over the years, and they've all fit great ~ two Tundra trucks and one Highlander SUV. Love that the stereo will read USB, SD, CD, or DVD. Great price and great stereo. Truly appreciate Amazon carrying! Thank you!

Perfect for the price
I was expecting this to be a pretty inferior radio due to the price being so much lower than name brands like Sony or Pioneer, but I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and build. While the sound quality will not blow you away, it was a noticeable upgrade to my stock GM radio in my old work truck, an '04 Chevy Silverado. If you're pairing this with a decent amp & quality speakers; I'm sure with would be sufficient for the average listener. Screen sensitivity is the one down side I've found so far - not super sensitive - but responsive enough that it functions without too much frustration. Just requires a couple milliseconds of patience (tough to find in today's world, I know). I mostly wanted this for the front and back camera's, but having Bluetooth capability was a bonus. Bluetooth pairs instantaneously with my iPhone XR. For calls, the microphone seems to be as good as your average headphones. No one I've talked to has complained about it being difficult to hear me. Talking both stopped in a parking lot and traveling at highway speeds. Picture quality for reverse camera is very bright and crisp. Tested DVD and this head unit has the ability to bypass the parking brake by grounding out the radio's brake trigger wire on any negative/grounded surface; I just grounded it to the mounting plate. So, you can watch DVD's without figuring out where to tap into your parking break wiring. (of course, I would never watch a DVD while driving down the highway - but a person could if they felt like being incredibly irresponsible and didn't care about the safety of their passengers or other people on the road - seriously - pay attention to the road while you drive) Picture quality is by no means 4k, but pretty good for DVD quality video. There are video outs if you want to run separate monitors for backseat passengers - I have not tested this, so see other reviews for more details. Overall, I'm ecstatic with this purchase. The price point is a massive bargain for the quality and features you'll get with this unit. If you're looking for an upgrade, but need to stay within a budget - or you just don't care enough to fork over a large chunk of money, this is a pretty good deal.

Not worth the trouble- pay a little more for a better product!
I didn't have time to install until a couple of weeks after receiving it and noticed right away that the clock was resetting every time I started my car. Checked all the wiring connections and they were good and everything else seemed to be working, so I didn't worry about it since I have another clock in the dash anyway. Within the next few days, I plugged my iPod in and it made an electrical popping noise and cleared all the preset radio stations. Irritating. I became more concerned when I kept noticing the popping sound when I started my car, which seems like it could cause other electrical problems, and it has continued to clear the presets every time I reset them, so I contacted Amazon and was told I needed to speak with the manufacturer. Boss customer service agreed that the head unit seems to be bad and said I could deal with the warranty department and possible get another unit, but any refund would have to be from Amazon. Since I was past 30 days, they wouldn't give a full refund, but they did credit me back $22 after I pleaded my case, which I guess is better than nothing. Aside from the obvious defects, there were other things I didn't like about this stereo. You have to turn the volume knob several times to change the volume, the sound quality is poor, and if you connect your phone via Bluetooth for navigation, you can't listen to the radio or iPod at the same time. In order to use navigation and listen to music, it must all be done using the phone. It would also be nice if I could control the iPod using the stereo controls rather than having to use the iPod. It also seems to lose AM radio signal, almost like the display is showing the correct station but the unit is actually tuned into the next number somehow, and the static sounds terrible. This stereo makes me miss my 15 year old Alpine- I thought I was upgrading, but I made a big mistake buying this and now I'm going to have to take the loss and buy a better unit that probably costs a lot more. Very disappointed.

Solid but definitely not great and not worth the money.
So, because of my preparation, or lack thereof, i had a ton of troubles to get this radio into my 04 ford explorer. Not the radios fault, just mine. But here are my problems with this radio. 1 Blutooth audio quality is lacking. Its just not crisp. After changing some audio settings, its better but still just muddy sounding, and not worth anything over 50 bucks. 2 The usb doesnt work. Just keep getting "USB Load Error". Tried both mine and my girlfriends phone. (She has an apple 11, i have samsung s10, neither worked) 3 The Touch screen works but feels slow and unresponsive, which sucks because when changing stations you cant hold the arrows down to skip through stations, you have to push the arrow to change every single station which takes a ton of time, especially since the default station is 87.3. The station i listen to is 97.9. So i had to sit ther and keep pushing the arrow for about 3 minutes just to get it to the station i want. 4 the brackets it comes with are only for side mounts, and as it happens, my explorer only has threaded holes under the radio to mount so i had to buy a seperate trim piece. Havent tried the aux yet, but besides the usb, the rest works... not great, but it works, and is JUST a bit better than my stock stereo. But i wouldnt say its worth anything over $50.

Installed on a 2002 Ford Explorer Limited
I am giving this a 5 star rating because of product price and reasonable expectations for a head in this price range. generally speaking this will give you 2 x the power of a standard stereo, if your speakers are crap, that means they will crackle past a certain volume. My limited has an upgraded system from factory and it handles it well, basically im saying it can only be as good as your speakers. its got a lot of bass an awesome equalizer and sounds great. Installation was easy using these 2 products: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000K52CX8/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000LU8N1M/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Do your homework, doube and triple check everything and you wont have an issue. While the features leave something to be desired.. they are more to expect for a head of this price. you cant see the song name etc when playing bluetooth, you cant play video unless you hook up the parking brake wire, i tried to bypass this and no dice. you cant save EQ settings so when i play EDM i max out the bass but when i play metal i have to go and turn each range down manually, should be 5 presets atleast for different genras of music. bluetooth works great for calls, the heavy bass makes people sound depressed.. pay no atention to that hhaha. Touch screen is OK, leaves a bit to be desired for responsiveness but im good with it. if you just need something to play music from your phone, usb or sd card this is a great choice.

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!
I would NOT recommend You waste Your time ordering or waste Your money on this P.O.S! I was fooled big time when I received this Crap. I thought it was a good Radio for the price..I was so wrong. This Radio freezes ALOT! Even when I get phone calls the Radio freezes and after answering the phone the Radio is stuck ringing, and when it does that I have to reset the Radio. I really hate having to do that , because I have to reset everything like Radio Stations, Time and the EQ. Sometimes when I start my Car the Radio does NOT automatically turns on and when it does that I have to turn it on Myself. so that means I have to reset everything all over again. If I could I would give this Product -0 Stars.

Packed in after 9 months
Had it 9 months, built in amplifier is awful and it now no longer turns on, delivery was quick and the unit is easy to install but to be honest, its a regretful purchase.
