UMAB Rebreakable Board

I use this to practice my breaks for tae kwon do. The school I attend uses them as well. A very cost effective and accurate way to practice for testing. It is harder to break than the real board equivalent when it is brand new, but once it is broke in (literally), it will give you hundreds of breaks that perfectly simulate the force needed for a one-inch pine board (blue = 1 board). It will get easier to break over time, but takes a really long time to wear that much. After that, just use it for new techniques or kids to work up to breaking a full board. Also, keep in mind that you have to hit it right at the seam to get it to snap, unlike wooden boards, so it promotes accuracy in your training. I love my practice board, but use only with proper instruction (no 'hold my beer moments, please') to avoid injury.

This board helps class

These boards are used at my kid's taekwondo school. They use the green at the school and the kids are able to break them easily. What I didn't think about was that at the school, they have been through hundreds, if not thousands of breaks - so they break quite easily. These new ones are stiff, and the kids were quite frustrated that they couldn't break them at home. All I am suggesting is that you communicate this fact with young kids, or perhaps buy two, one just below what they are using at at school. That way they can regain confidence in their ability to break it outside of the school setting. After about 2 months, the boards loosened a bit, but still not as much as at the school.

Theses boards provide an excellent alternative to breaking pine. By allowing the martial arts practitioner to practice targeting for testing and demonstrations focus and consistency can be established effectively. I highly recommend this product for any martial artist whose studio uses board breaking.The retailer also provided this product quickly , I received in less than a week.

Lots of issues with this product. Boards are not secured well enough and fly out. Loading time isn’t efficient at all. It’s a good start but this isn’t the answer.
