From someone who sleeps like a log
My entire life, I have been a heavy sleeper. I slept at least 12 hours without waking up if I didn't set an alarm. I can sleep to loud music, noisy traffic, and even construction. I will sleep THROUGH loud music, noisy traffic, and construction. My parents always had to wake me up for school, even in high school, because there was no way I could get up by myself. When I was dorming in college, I had to set multiple siren alarms, much to my roommates' dismay. When I moved back home, I put my alarms far away from my bed so I'd have to get up to turn them off. That didn't work. I bought Clocky, the alarm clock with wheels that would roll around the room blaring R2D2 noise if you pressed snooze more than once. Problem is, even when I got up to turn Clocky off, I would still be half-asleep, as in I had no recollection that my alarm clock rang at all. I'm still a college student and having to wake up at 7am by myself is no easy feat for me. I don't remember how I stumbled upon the WUOT pills but I remember being really hesitant on ordering them. There weren't many reviews but I read them over and over and convinced myself that I should probably order them to try them out, because it would be a good investment. After all, I needed a solution to my sleep troubles. The first night I tried them, I was excited. I went right to bed around 1am and woke up at 6am by myself. My alarm was set for 7. I wasn't even sleepy. In fact, I was wide awake and ready to start my day! The second night I tried it, I made the mistake of not going to sleep soon enough. I was up for almost 2 hours after that and I realized it gave me a small dose of caffeinated effect. Like it was already preparing me to wake up. I was very aware that they were time release pills but just make sure you try to sleep as soon as possible after taking them. I definitely recommend them but wouldn't recommend taking them on a daily basis. I'm not a doctor nor a med student but the pills will probably disrupt your sleep cycle. I used it for 4 days straight and realized how jolted I was every morning. I was just too jittery for mornings and not in a good way, and I was not getting enough sleep (I woke up after 4-6 hours wide awake). So I ended up using it occasionally or when I felt like I needed them. However it may have a different effect depending on your body. But it does work. It's great for students who are in the middle of exams or someone who knows that they will need that extra dose of energy the next day.

I Suffer From Sleep Disorders - This Helps!
First, do not think that you will have the same results as me. As you can see in the comments it works for some and not for others. Just like any other "supplement" I've ever used, results may vary. For me, this may be a life-altering product. I suffer from sleep apnea and chronic fatigue. I sleep well with my CPAP machine but I often still feel exhausted throughout the day. It is not uncommon for me to nod off while driving or while at my desk typing. My new job has me commuting an hour one way. The industry requires a very early start so, I am up at 0300 to be at work by 0500. It has become increasingly difficult for me to keep my eyes open during the drive. I find myself swerving, or hitting the rumble strips. I've been late many times because I had to pull over to nap so I don't kill myself or someone else. Luckily I have a very understanding boss. I work 12 hours and then head home for another drive where I may or may not be able to stay awake. I took it for the first time last night prior to going to bed at 2000 (8:00). I woke with a headache which I contribute to the niacin in the pills. It was awful and I was still very tired. I started my drive knowing full well today was going to be another "pull over for a 15 min nap" day. About 15 minutes into my drive I was suddenly awake. Not just awake, but alert. I swear at one point I could smell numbers and hear colors! I felt great, not jittery, not amped like a pre-workout, just...truly awake for the first time in many years. I still had a lingering headache but a couple of ibuprofen took care of that. I am now 7.5 hours into my 12-hour shift. It is lunchtime and I still feel great. I feel awake, alert, and energized. I hope that I continue to get similar results for the rest of the bottle! So far I am absolutely thrilled with this product even if I wake up with a headache. I will update in a few weeks and report the results after continued use.

Stay away at all costs!
First time I took the product I went to sleep without a problem but woke up feeling very groggy and tired like I usually do, so it didn't work. Second time I took it, the pills took effect 30 minutes after ingesting which completely wrecked my sleep. I couldnโt sleep all night and as a result woke up feeling completely destroyed to a meeting. I had to go back home and sleep from 9am to 2pm and now my sleep pattern is completely messed up. I am throwing the pills away and will never buy again as I cannot risk not sleeping all night.

Wake up wonderfully, but usually too soon.
The time release is a little too fast. I usually only sleep for six hours before waking up. I wish the time release would last eight hours. However, when I do wake up, I feel very good and ready to go.

Early days...
I have sleep apnea and use a CPAP machine. I feel fatigued most days and have a horrible time trying to wake up in the mornings. I have a dual alarm clock which I set for 7:00a and 7:45a and then hit the snooze button for another 30 minutes. Then I'll drag myself out of bed and put on coffee. I need at least 2 hours of being awake before I can wake up enough to get out of the apartment to get to work by 10a. I usually work until 7p with frequent bouts of fatigue and drowsiness mostly in the afternoons (between 12p and 6p). Some days are better than others but 4 days out of 5, even if I sleep for 8 or 9 hours I could lay back down and sleep for another 2 or 3 hours. By Friday my energy level (and willpower) has just about bottomed out. That's just some background to explain why I'm clutching at straws... I've just received this in time to use it one day (a Friday). I took it at about 11:30p Thursday night and when the alarm went off at 7:00a the next morning I didn't notice any much difference. I shut the alarm off and fell right back to sleep. When 7:45a came around I hit the snooze once. Instead of dropping back off I found that my mind was waking up (even if the rest of my body wasn't quite catching up). I laid there for 10 minutes and when I realized that I wasn't going to fall back to sleep I went ahead and got up. I still wasn't quite motivated to do much more than get some coffee and breakfast. For a Friday I may have been a bit more alert that usual (on a scale of 1 to 10 where I'm normally a 5 this might have been a 6). So, after one dose there's really nothing conclusive. I'll try it again starting on Monday and report back once I have used it for a full week to see how things work out. Side notes - 1. For a package this small, which was delivered through the US mail, to take as long as it did to arrive was, in my opinion, ridiculous. Shipping was a little under $2 and arrived 2 days late. 2. There are only 40 tablets in the bottle. If used according to instructions that's $3.60/day for 2 pills and it's only a 20 day supply. I only intend on using it on workdays (if it works) which makes this a 1 month supply for most months. Personally I'd pay just about anything if it worked but this is still a pricey solution for most people to use on a regular basis. I'll post an update next Saturday. Update: 12/27/2010 - Okay.. I'm a bit late on the update. Although I like the idea, this product didn't really do it for me. That could be caused by a number of reasons including the sleep apnea that I mentioned above. There were some mornings where I'd wake up, hit the snooze button, and go right back to sleep. Other mornings I'd wake up and my mind would be focused on some problem at work and I'd be awake enough to get out of bed and go straight for the coffee. I tried 1 tablet and then 2 tablets at night right before I went to bed. On some days I would take 1 tablet right after I woke up to see if it would help with the early afternoon drowsiness. It wasn't effective on me. So, I'm giving it a 3 based on how it worked on me. On a positive note I don't remember having any negative side effects. I think this is one of those products where it might work for some and not for others. Even if it's a placebo effect, that's still an effect.

Waking up game changer
I had no problem falling asleep and woke up feeling great and energized. I have a huge problem sleeping thru alarm. Taking these I was already waking up naturally (8 hours after going to sleep) right as my alarm was scheduled to go off.

Highly recommended, just take the time to explore how it will interact with your body since everyone is different.
These work out really well. I take them before bed and they have a good release in the morning. they do not necessarily 'wake you up' but if you have an alarm and it makes you aware you need to get up these seem to make it a lot easier to get going and get that energy. I would try them out to see how your body breaks them down and absorbs them. If you eat a fatty red meat meal, you may break them down differently than if you had salad. I use 2 usually but on days when I know I have an early morning and need to kick butt I use three. Be careful to check the vitamin B content for interactions with other medications and supplements to make sure you do not end up with toxicity (this can happen if you take too much of a vitamin, there is no direct issue with this supplement). Overall, highly recommended, just take the time to explore how it will interact with your body since everyone is different.

Wake up on time pills
We purchased this product after desperately trying to find a solution for my son's difficulty in awakening. My son would not wake up to even the loudest alarm clock. For the last two years we tried to get help for this through doctors and psychologists who simply offered the traditional approach of 8 hours of sleep, no exciting activities one hour before bed, darken the room, etc.., but none of it helped. My son going away to college precipitated a crisis in that if he was not able to wake up, he would eventually lose his job and that would make college unaffordable. My son is finishing his first bottle of Wake up on Time and the turnaround is incredible. He only takes one pill (manufacturer recommends two) 8 hours before he is scheduled to wake up and he hasn't missed the alarm yet. This is one leg of a three legged stool along with getting consistent sleep (at least 7 hours) and using the loudest, most incredible alarm clock (The Sonic Boom) which we also got from Amazon. We found these solutions by searching Online (no help from the experts here) and reading some of the reviews. We are thankful for the help and hope this review helps other people down the road, deal with a little understood sleep problem for which there is almost no formal help.

so it can get awkward waking up at 5am feeling like you've just had 5 expressos
I've had mixed experiences with this. The pills tend to kick in about 5hrs after being taken for me, so it can get awkward waking up at 5am feeling like you've just had 5 expressos! So instead I only take them when I've been working into the early hours and are likely to only get a few hours sleep. When taken like this, my mornings do feel really great and I have no need to drink any caffeine. I rate them 3/5 because the pills kick in too quickly and the purpose of me buying them was to help wake up on more normal days (not days when I know I'm only getting a few hrs sleep) and for this they weren't very effective.

Was Life changing, why the reduction in quantities of ingredients???!!?
This was my review, read on... Life changing for me. Been suffering for last 4-5 years with chronic fatigue & pain. I could sleep 18 hours a day, trouble working, head like it was in a bag all day when I was awake. Though these pills are not also painkillers, they have helped so much with the fatigue I can cope with the pain a lot more and get a normal life. Noticed the first time I took them, I woke up & stayed awake. So much more focused & alert during the day. Also noticed that I'm sleeping much better with them. No negative points that I have found. Don't buy them as I don't want them to run out lol. Value for money? What price can you put on getting your life back ๐๐ Not quite the same affect for me now. Shame. Very disappointed in the change in ingredients. Letโs see if the cuts increase their $$$
