Q: Has anyone used this on car rust? Specifically around the doors and other spotted areas. Does it work?

I haven't but I wouldn't put this on car paint. If your car has rust spots you should deal with them correctly, scraping and sanding. Then prime and paint. Best way to be sure you're down to the metal so the new primer clings. There's a reason body shops don't use this stuff.

Grill Grates (the brand) are aluminum and 1.can’t rust. 2. You should not use this product with aluminum

If it has rust yes, but don't leave it on too long. try a small section out of site to make sure it doesn't discolor the chrome.

I can't find my jar of Naval Jelly to read the facts for sure, but I used it on my porcelain bathtub where it had rusted at a seam and it did a great job, but I watched it closely as I did it. I just read the recommendations on line for what NOT to use it on, and it says it is not to be used on Cement, Fiberglass, Chrome, Aluminum, Plastic or Marble. I hope that helps you. If you are at a hardware store, or even Walmart, take a look at a jar of it and see if it recommends that it be used on ceramic tile or porcelain. (Then come back to Amazon to buy it where you get the best buy. One jar did a whole patio table and four chairs for me last summer!).
