Element Case CFX for Apple iPhone 8 Plus and 7 Plus - Black

This is one sporty looking case, especially in the orange color. The combination of orange and black makes this case pop. The picture makes the black portion darker than it actually is. It is really a grayish black which I like better than a pure black. The case is sturdy and fits the 8 plus perfectly. The buttons function perfectly. It will be very easy to keep this case clean. It also does not show fingerprints. The case does have lip protection but I highly suggest a screen protector. The other colors for this case are nice but they don’t look much different from other cases out there. The orange and black combination makes this case stand out in my opinion. And unlike many Element cases, this one is reasonably priced.

This is the second Element case I have purchased and it does not disappoint. The first Element ION case for iphone 5s lasted me nearly three years and countless drops. When I took my old 5s out of the case to trade-in for an iPhone 7 in store it was in nearly flawless condition. I fully expect this one to last the same amount of time. The styling looks great and has a clean masculine look with carbon accents.One note is that the Black advertised color has a slight blue/grey tint in the top/bottom plastic and is not truly "black". This makes it look better in my opinion but if you wanted a black on black case this is not it.

It's not to big and bulky nor is it thin and flimsy. The fit is perfect, it doesn't go over the glass screen, it fits right to the edge where the glass meets the phone frame. The Element CFX cover has a nice feel and form fit grip when its in your hand. It's exactly what I was looking for to protect my newest generation iPhone. The color combination is great and the carbon fiber inserts also look great.I especially like the metal in-laid buttons. They have a positive feel and are easy to find. The dark color looks more like grey than black but I'm ok with the two tone orange/dark grey color combination. Overall I am happy with this phone cover. It has taken me trying five different covers only to find the one I'm going to stick with, and that's is this one. Yes its an expensive case, but part of the cost is the really nice box they send it in. I would be happy if this cover came in a plastic wrap for half the cost of what I paid, but I'm still totally satisfied with the fit and finish and the way it feels. On a scale of 1 to 10 it gets a 9.5, it would definitely get a 10 if the darker color was actually black rather than a dark grey.

Really wanted an orange Urban Armour case, but they don't make one for the 7plus, so I had to look around for something similar and this fit the bill. It actually turned out to be a bit better than the UA case. I really like the metal volume buttons, which work better than the molded plastic ones on the UA case. The only thing I'm worried about is when I toss it on the table it sounds like it's hits harder than a UA case which seems to have softer plastic on the back.

Bought this case since in the past I had an Ion for iPhone 4 that worked out great, this seemed to be in the same style as that, however it had a very slick finish on back so a little hard to grip, the flimsy front bar over the lightning port, and after a time the end caps discolored, none of those were real deal breakers and on those merits it would be about a 3 star. However the case split along the side seam where the front rubbery material is joined to the harder plastic back. It appears that this seam aligns with the edge of the phone so pressure there over time caused it to fail, poor design decision, no big deal, submitted a warranty claim via their website and after 1 week no reply other than auto response that I submitted the form.1 star is for poor customer service combined with just an o.k. design.

It's tough and it's not hideous, but it's not a great design in my opinion. Others may love it, but it's a let down for me and I've had a half dozen Element cases over the years. The ION case for the iPhone 6 Plus featured a lot less focus on the brand (for which Element removed the major aesthetic appeal to make room to stamp it down the length of the back for the 7's version) and a lot more on the carbon fiber look - the entire back plate to be precise - and black meant black for that model as well. This case is "navy with black trim" at best, and what little carbon fiber-look material they used is clearly just decorative. The 6 Plus ION case got constant compliments and I was like an unofficial brand ambassador due to so many people asking what it was on-sight, and then learned about the other features that make Element amazing. This case looks like a mid-grade designer case from Best Buy. The (navy) plastic composite around the edges and corners - where the vast majority of impacts happen - is thin and far too pliable for my liking, and yet somehow the softness of it absorbs and dampens the stereo speakers that make the 7 & 7 Plus controversial enough already. It's not a bad case, but it's nothing like the cheaper and better quality equivalent for Apple's last Plus. I have to say I wouldn't recommend it.

This is my second case. The soft rubber started to separate from the hard plastic on my first. The first case lasted for a year and a half. I do remove my phone from the case frequently to clean the edges and backside. But I do like the case and believe it is a quality product.

Saw the exact same case on Ebay for double the cost. Was a little worried about purchasing but really ended up liking the quality and style of this case. Have been using it for almost a year and it is still in pristine condition and has protected my phone many times from high falls.
