A well researched book that looks at the football careers of Don Revie and Brian Clough. It looks at them side by side starting with there playing careers and then there moves into football management. An enjoyable read.

Thoughtful
A good grounding for further reading though it skips years at a time for no given reason. One obvious focus is Cloughs brief tenure at Leeds. Another section deals with Revies time at England with the emphasis on the manner of his departure. Fascinating though patchy.

Clough & Revie
Excellent book for those who can remember these great football managers.Also a social history of the times they were growing up. Also a real insight as to player's pay and behaviour. Very interesting comparing to todays players.I would definitely recommend to those interested in football & its history.
