This replica is surprisingly very decently reproduced. Its proportions, details, finishing, coloring, material, touch, texture--even, so to speak, its weight and balance--seem accurate and informative of the original. As other customers pointed out, it is definitely not a toy at all. Aesthetically, it is capable of indeed imparting part of the awe of the original 1:1 statue. It informs much, much more than any photograph alone I've ever seen. One can devise angles and perspectives which are aesthetically quite exuberant. We are not talking about fake, cheap, undignified kitsch. It is a reproduction with a great deal of information. I just ordered two more copies, one to my mother, the other to a friend. The only problem with this replica, however, is that it is so well crafted, that one almost feels the manufacturer to be blamed for failing to also ship Victory of Samothrace's head and arms... I love statuary but cannot afford the real deal. So I must make do with reproductions. Especially for the more famous pieces, the quality of reproductions is a problem. Most turn out to be rather crude, with only a general resemblance to the original. I looked over many sites before selecting this one. I had only the picture as a basis for a choice, but it turned out to be good. The piece had been skillfully reduced in size from the original, which often leaves odd proportions in the repro (See any David reproduction for a great example). This Nike kept the grace of the original, the casting material was excellent, the detailing (usually another major flaw) was excellent, and the piece had not been washed in some sepia-toned coloring to highlight" details or make it look "antique". The result usually spoils an otherwise good piece. The particulars of the transaction were as they should be- quick shipping, prompt delivery, packaged well. I will definitely begin my searches for reproduction statuary with this vendor in future.

I really liked this statuette when I saw it but the price held me back a bit from buying. I did take the plunge and I must say it was truly worth it. The height is just right, not too big but large enough to be noticed one one's book shelf, desk or reading lamp table. The detail is wonderful and matches the original in the Lourve with near perfection and the bottom of the base is actually covered in a felt like material to prevent scratching of your furniture or shelf. It is heavy for it's size and the color is just right. I was worried about damaged in shipping but was pleased to find it was carefully packaged in TWO boxes, the inner box containing a styrofoam box that was molded to fit the statuette. The outer box was stuffed tightly with packing "peanuts" and I am happy to say that there was absolutely no damage from shipping.Don't let the prices stop you. This is a truly wonderful piece!

This statuette does justice to the original in the Louvre. Beautifully detailed, the composite is lovely. Most highly recommended.

The title says 11 inches tall. The description says 10.5, but in reality, it's only about 9.5 inches tall. I was super bummed that it was so small. The quality was nice, but there was an imperfection from the pouring process. I ended up returning it in the end. If you’re looking for something for a bookshelf this might be for you, but if you’re looking for a focal piece it just wasn't great. Added some pictures to show what I'm talking about.

I like the hand feel of this statue's material, the detail, the nice large size (11") and the high quality appearance. This is exactly what I'd hoped to receive with this purchase -- so in my view very good value for the price. Would definitely purchase products from this seller again.

The seller was excellent and the overall construction and materials of this sculpture are second to none. It's worth far more than USD $30.00, IMHO, and looks absolutely fantastic.I'm deducting one star (and it should probably be two or three) due to some artistic liberties asserted in this interpretation of the sculpture -- specifically, the Nike is presented with a left foot, where this detail is absent on the original. I think the now missing parts/appendages of this work define the piece as a whole, so I think it's somewhat arrogant to try to "fix" this piece in this way. The Louvre restorations were IMHO, extremely disciplined and supported the original intent and composition of the Nike. Adding a foot for the sake of adding a foot adds nothing and future versions of this reproductions should be revised to omit this (revisionist) addition.

I read the reviews of this product that said it was well above expectations when they removed the packaging. They were right. When it came I couldn't have been more pleased with it. The quality of the molding and the marble finish on the resin cast is fantastic. I could say "for the price you can't go wrong", but that would not do this piece justice. The price is so low when compared to what you would pay for such a thing in a shop. I put mine on a plain oblong white marble plinth and the marble finish melded in with the real marble perfectly. I do think it needs a plinth of white marble to look its best. If you have always wanted a great little replica of this famous statue in the Louvre, this is the one to go for.
