The birds balance well. Good option for classroom demonstrations and lab.

These birds are similar in appearance to a number of types of birds. Therefore, though the coloration and details are not accurate for a certain species, they still interest the children (grade school age) in birds because they balance seemingly like magic at the tip of their beaks. I use my home school lessons with books, videos, and handouts for teaching the facts, and these will do very nicely to excite the children and get them to think about birds flying. They are made of a sturdy, heavy plastic and seem like they will last a long time, even with children playing with them. It would be nice if they looked more like true species, but for getting children interested, they are definitely worth it.

Fun toy That helps teach about balance. My little four-year-old nephew couldn’t figure what was holding it up. He enjoyed putting it various places.

My students really enjoyed seeing how easy it is to balance these bird figures. They’ve also had fun figuring out what else they can balance them on (their chin, the corner of a desk, etc.) and trying tricks with them like spinning around while balancing them etc lol.
