I am still learning so far it has done a great job!!! read the directions!!!! well worth the money. I don't like when people review a product and leave 1 star because they don't read or follow directions. I read one review where he put it on his car and it said diamond, apparently he didn't read the directions something with metal will make it go off. Did it work for me, yes, I have just starting collecting costume jewelry and I did find one with a small Diamond!!! Tested on my moms earrings and yes they are diamonds, that was my first test lol amazing little tool. Read the directions. Follow the directions and you shouldnt have a problem
