Q: will this be a good replacement for the Ironton watercraft trailer tires?

These would be a good accessory for any trailer that does not already have a grease nipple on the wheel bearings. These don't replace the tires or wheel, they make it more convenient to regrease the wheel bearings so that they do not run dry which can cause the bearing to fail and the wheel to fall off the trailer. You'll need a grease gun with grease to refill the bearings and you should check and refill them as part of regular maintenance, Especially before longer trailer trips when the bearings have an opportunity to overheat from lack of lubrication. I would be most concerned with inexpensive trailers that may not have particularly good quality bearings and seals. You can get an idea of the condition of your trailer's bearings by jacking a wheel off the ground and manually spinning it. If it makes noise or rocks side to side, I would be concerned.
