After time the material on the original broke down and cracked/split. Ordered this as replacement. I’m somewhat handy but not a lot of experience with cars. Googled replacement of center console lid and watched a video and found it a very easy fix. The replacement is not quite as smooth/“glossy” as original but it does smooth out over time and actually has a nice texture. Looks great and functions well. As others have mentioned, the screw holes are slightly off in some places but u can force it into place and the screw will start eventually. I would purchase again

I have just replaced my center console lid on my 2008 GMC Sierra 2500hd. This lid is a good product but does need a little bit of trimming prior to installation. The screw holes did not line up on both sides. I fixed the issue by trimming the plastic keepers and that definitely allowed the lid to operate properly. The holes are only off by 1/8”. The color matches perfectly and the installation is easy as soon as you have the holes in line.

Any of this after market pieces always need some form of adjustment's- I read about the holes being off in other reviews- they were with mine - the molding is slightly off where the hinge sits and the material can’t be there like on the stock, I trimmed back the material where the hinge sits in the molding and used Lok Tite plastic bonding glue - hard core super glue stuff to glue the material down just past the edge by it wraps in - the holes lined up fine but the screws wouldn’t self tap in- the holes needed to be drilled so I predrilled the holes through with a 7/64” and it is sitting pretty now, worth it for the money as the cracks just irritated me literally

This fits great in our 2011 Chevy Silverado. The quality is good and it was easy to put on.

It is a great product replacement.Took 10 minutes to change out.Amazed. Looks great.

Bought this March 2024.Product states OME. And reason for purchade- only reason! Screws didn't line up, but was able to make it work. Opening and trying to latch it closed been a bit problematic. All workable. HOWEVER, the material started cracking Oct 2024. It is now worse than my original one that I replaced with this garbage. Stay away from this, unless replacing it every 5 months is your thing.
