Added these in motorhome bedroom. Nice looking and love that they can mount flat wherever I need them.

You need USB power outlets in your boat, camper, motorcycle, wherever. As long as you have a 12 volt power supply, these are the outlets you need, for these reasons:> Surface mounted - No need to drill huge holes like those automotive-style "lighter" socket models.> Wire management - Wires come out the back, so all you need to do is drill a small hole and never see the wires again.> Cover plate - No exposed mounting hardware because the included cover plate covers the mounting screws.USB "doors" - Spring-loaded doors cover the USB sockets when not in use, keeping out dust.LED indicator - Confirm that power is reaching the outlets with a tell-tale blue LED.In minutes I had USB outlets on both the driver and passenger side of my boat and I plan to add more at guest seats for convenience. Highly recommended.

I fried this unit in a simple, custom 12V circuit despite circuit breakers and protection, without ever connecting a USB device. Would not buy it again for my application, but may be fine in a clean installation with automotive-grade voltage control.

The so called weather proof doors get in the way of the plugs. I was installing these indoors to the doors or flaps are in the recycling bin

Wish there was a groove in the bottom for surface mount without a drill hole

Easy enough to install if your familar with 12 volt systems like the hideaway panels to keep dirt out and power LED to let you know when it's powered.

Although the cover is a bit jankey when installing, once installed, it looks good and more importantly, it works

Pretty easy to install. Charges fast, it was surprisingly durable
