Very nice shaver overall
Iβve been using the shaver for nearly two weeks now. My first impressions are generally positive. The shaver itself is small and sleek, it would be very handy to take on trips or when traveling. It comes with a 2 pin charger and 3 plastic guards, one each at 1mm, 3mm and 5mm. The guards themselves are a little flimsy, they donβt seem to be built to the same standard as the shaver. I was hoping to use the 1mm guard a few times a week to leave me with a β5 oβclock shadowβ but it turns out 1mm it a fair bit longer than that. So I instead usually trim without any guard on. Doing this is nice and smooth but can leave uneven stubble, as with no guard you can almost get a clean shave. The shaver is good for tidying up side burns. Overall, itβs a nice shaver, probably best for people who wants a consistent short beard rather than a 5 oβclock shadow.

Not as good as another well known brand.
I purchased this as a spare shaver, I decided to try it straight away and I was not impressed, it didn't cut that well and if you're not careful it will cut your skin, Its not as good as that other well known brand.I've put it back in the box and not used it since. πββ¬πββ¬

Possibly the worst trimmer I have ever purchased - useless.
TL:DR - Don't waste your time, buy a proper trimmer. This is poor no matter your use.I purchased this trimmer as a replacement for a Phillips one I had previously for over 5 years. At first glance the trimmer seems lightweight and compact, this ends up being one of it's negative points unfortunately. Due to the compact size the trimmer is significantly underpowered, I generally do not have a thick beard to work with (maximum of 8-9mm in length) and usually use a 5mm trimmer for length and then with no attachment for edges and areas where I want a close to skin trim. This trimmer struggles to do either - it is terrible at trimming with the attachments as their shape means that hair is consistently trapped between the attachment and blade - causing it to jam, pull on hairs and generally take an hour to trim (vs my previous which took 5mins). Then without the attachments it simply does not cut hairs properly for detailed shaping, I found that no matter the angle used, how hard or light you push with the machine, it simply struggled to cut.Eventually - after only two uses I have disposed of the machine as I could not refund on Amazon for some reason. I have since bought a Phillips Series 3000 Trimmer (with Lift & Trim System) for the same price as this trimmer but it performs much better than this.

Great quality, great price, great product.
Iβd seen various reviews of similar products but the reviews for this one seemed far more favourable so I bought one. It was bought primarily as a beard trimmer and it does this very well although a couple more guard attachments would have been better for those with a fuller beard. For mine, which is kept neatly trimmed every 4-5 days it was perfect. No pulling or tugging at all. If you want to use it as a razor again it is excellent and is also fully waterproof if you wanted to use it in the shower. Itβs a solid piece of kit, very well made and fits very nicely in you hand. Overall Iβm very pleased with this product and would recommend it.

Good for close shave, not so good for stubble
So for context, I don't really spend much time on my facial hair, and prefer a shortish stubble look, so I have generally used shavers or trimmers without attachments and shaved about twice a week, letting it grow for a few days before trimming it back.I liked the look of this Gillette product as it seemed really straightforward to use, so I've bought it and have been testing it for a week now. I've found in the past that some trimmers state a certain hair length, but this has rarely actually corresponded with the result (meaning I have typically used trimmers without attachments at all). This product appeared as the three attachments meant I should be able to get the desired length I'm after. When I opened the box, I was really impressed by how smooth the shaver head is, and the mobility of the shaver head that pivots to help achieve a good even shave. I first used the 1mm attachment, and found that it didn't really seem to do much to my five days of growth. I persisted, and very little came off despite my beard easily being way over 1mm long. I was in a but of a rush to get out, so took the head off and tried without, and immediately regretted this. Without a head, the shaver gives an incredibly close shave. Whilst this might be a great positive for some, I really didn't like that it seems it was either five days of length or a close shave (previous trimmers have given me some stubble even when used without attachments). After leaving it almost a week, I've tried again but have gotten patchy results with the 1mm attachment, despite having a fairly long beard, so it's just not working that well for me.

Nice tidy trim
I bought this product a couple of weeks ago and have been using it since. I tend to keep a short/medium length stubble beard so was happy with the 3 options of length available. I've generally been using the number 5. When it first arrived I was surprised at how small it was but it does pack a punch and seems to hold the charge well. In this respect the only negative would be that it came with an EU plug so I had to buy an adapter to be able to charge it - which I haven't had to do just yet after 4-5 uses. It's a double sided razor so shaves on the up and down stroke. This makes it actually really easy to use around my jawline. Despite having not used a similar razor I found it easy to get on with and would definitely recommend it to others
