Will this cable work on asus rog strix z690-e gaming wifi motherboard and corsair 7000d airflow tower?

This splitter will not make one USB port on the motherboard acts like two, at least in my case. If you plan to purchase the cable to connect and activate four USB ports on top of the case, it will not work unless the onboard USB connector support four USBs. I am using Aorus Z590. I connected USB 3.1 connector on the motherboard to the two USBs on Corsair 7000, and USB 2.0 on the motherboard to the remaining two USBs on the case to make all USBs work. I hope this helps.
